Our family attended the Gibson Area Music Foundation's performance of Handel's Messiah yesterday and found it to be a wonderfully pleasant and accessible experience. We are from the Chicago area. Our son is a student at the University of Illinois near Gibson City and we chiefly went to hear him play his violin in the ensemble which accompanied the group. We drove more than two hours for the concert and had no particular expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and enthusiasm of all those associated with the event. A big thank you for a wonderful time.
