Mission: The mission of Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) is to Uplift school leaders > Transform mindsets and action > Create vibrant cultures of innovation > Build excellent and equitable schools. This mission is also our theory of change: we believe each element is a critical prerequisite to the next, ultimately leading to our vision of a Georgia where schools and communities pursue breakthrough success for every student regardless of race, family income or geography.
Results: In the past five years alone, we have served more than 80 school districts and organizations and more than 7,000 Georgia teachers and leaders with a partnership renewal rate of 75%. The school systems we serve, the majority of whom have high numbers of students living in poverty (70%), consistently outperform the state average in ratings of school climate. The transformation in individuals preceding these gains is captured in our 2019 Annual Report (https://glisi.org/2019-annual-report).
