I adopted a dog about two years ago from GARD. Myself and my husband have had multiple conversations with Miss Joy and Miss Amy about our dog. They have always been extremely kind and professional. We felt like every question we had was answered in a timely manner and we could tell that the dog we adopted was well taken care of. Even after adopting we have asked advice about our dog and they have always gone out of their way to help in any way possible. I would fully recommend this rescue group.

Back in 2007 I adopted through GARD and had a great experience. Our dog, Edie made the trip all the way up the east coast and never looked back. We are looking to adopt again and applying at GARD!!

Horrible company!!! SCAMS ALL THE WAY AROUND. They changed the price of the puppies listed after they got a ton of interest from $150 to $500. Then told everyone who applied if they don’t pay a application fee they aren’t going to be considered. However the application fee was a scam. It was a PayPal donation, so they are fraudulently filing taxes on all these people’s donations “adoption fees” then when you call them out they get so defensive and look like they are completely ignorant. They try to intimidate you by saying they have a lawyer on their board - LOL CLEARLY AND INCOMPETENT ONE!! They falsely advertised that these dogs could be adopted out of the surrounding states just to get people to pay the “application donation” then days later states they are only adopting them to GA residents, which VIOLATES THEIR OWN POLICY, which states & I quote “ We adopt in our home state of Georgia, certain areas of FL, and all along the east coast. Approved adopters in GA, FL, SC, and NC would need to drive to one our mobile events and pick up their new pet. All other areas in our adoption zone would require a paid transport and this fee would be in addition to our adoption fee.”

Best part of all they try to scare tactic and threaten you by saying and I quote “ we look forward to refuting your ridiculous google & BBB review (note they are NOT EVEN BBB ACCREDITED). We have added your name to the do not adopt registry so that no rescues have to deal with your lack of compassion for their animals well-being” LOL THEN THEY BLOCK YOU CAUSE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THEIR ORGANIZATION

Never never buy a puppy from this shelter. Puppies are sick when they send them home with you nor do they tell you they are sick . I have spent hundreds of dollars on Vet bills within 6 day of bring them both home. Yes that right I adopted 2 fur babies. Both are on medication and antibiotics. No one wants to take responsibility for the pets they sell you DO BUY FROM THEM Please
