Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Environment, Land Resources Conservation, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection

Mission: To work with landowners to help them protect their land, primarily through conservation easements

Programs: Army compatible use buffer (acub) program: working with the department of defense in ft. Stewart, ga, the land trust focuses on acquiring land through in-fee purchases and conservation easements around the base in order to preserve and to buffer the fort from civilian populatuion. Stewardship program: 3 full time staff members and several contractors work to protect conservation values of our easements on over 250,000 acres of landprotection program: working with land owners in our coverage area to educate on the purpose of conservation easements and to expand protected land for future and present generations.
