Causes: Geology, Technology
Mission: To address geologic aspects of issues dealing with the world's changing energy challenges, uses, safety, policies and associated environmental questions. To educate the public and scientific community on the importance of geologic maps, cross sections, and other geologic data & interpretations. To assist and advise various governmental agencies with instruction and sharing geologic data sets and interpreations. To preserve geologic maps and cross sections, digitizing them so that they can be preserved in the geographical information system (gis) files and made available to the public via the foundation's web site.
