Mission: The mission of the General Lloyd W. "Fig" Newton Chapter is to preserve the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, honor their historic contributions to aviation and military service, and inspire future generations by promoting educational excellence, leadership, and careers in aerospace, aviation, and STEM fields. Through outreach, mentorship, and community engagement, we empower youth and strengthen our community's connection to this extraordinary history.
Target demographics: honor the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and empower the next generation through education and mentorship.
Direct beneficiaries per year: young people from underrepresented communities gain exposure, skills, and the confidence to achieve their dreams.
Geographic areas served: Albuquerque, NM and surrounding areas within the state
Programs: Our chapter offers scholarships, mentorship programs, and aviation/STEM camps that inspire youth and open doors to aerospace careers.
