Mission: The purpose of gator bowl sports charities, inc is to: organize, sponsor, produce, promote and/or participate in athletic events, educational opportunities, clinics, expositions and other similar programs and projects for the benefit of the north florida community; make gifts, grants or donations for the promotion of charitable, scientific, literary and educational programs; and to act as the charitable arm of gator bowl sports, inc. And jacksonville sports council. Gator bowl sports charities, inc. Receives revenues from the general public through event sales and contributions.
Programs: Send a child to a game program provides youth the opportunity to experience the taxslayer bowl game by providing them tickets which were purchased by various companies and individuals in support of the program which directly benefits children's organizations throughout jacksonville. This program provides each child with a game ticket, hot dog and drink at the game and transportation to and from the game. The gator bowl charities award of excellence scholarship consists of a one-time gift of $2,500 to two male and two female student-athletes for use at any accredited university or community college. The healthy kids passport takes children on a journey throughout the first coast to discover ways to be healthy, explore the arts, and give back to the community.
