When I heard of the GATE PRC I was thrilled to know such place existed. From the time I arrived the entire experience was wonderful. The lady at the front desk greets you with a big smile and warm welcome. The directors and manager are warm and friendly as well. The coaches are very helpful and knowledgeable. I left wanting to come back as soon as possible.
GATE is a great organization! They spend so much time talking to moms and families and helping them with whatever they might need for the newborn child. They also help with counseling and informing the people about Jesus. It is great to see so many happy people leaving who have come in burdened down and full of woe. Once they leave, their spirits are lifted and their hearts are glad. It's a really wonderful organization.

GATE is the most wonderful organization! It helps people who are in need, especially those who are the most vulnerable--children! In addition to providing "stuff" for the children, they also provide strength, encouragement, Godly wisdom and instruction to the parents. By doing this, GATE helps to create Kingdom citizens who can go forward and make the world a better place!
Gate is a great resource center for women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. They provide educational opportunities, referrals, resources and emotional support throughout the pregnancy and beyond until the infants first Birthday.
GATE does a remarkable job of fundraising and responsibly using funds to serve our local community. I’ve been a part of their annual banquet for many years and it is remarkable how their reach in the community has grown based on this well-planned and organized event. They are also careful to recruit and train the very best staff and volunteers who are sensitive to the needs of their clients.
GATE PRC has a great staff and volunteer base that has a heart for the unborn child, the mother and father, they offer individual classes from 1st trimester until birth and beyond. They want to see these parents succeed by helping them with their GED, finding a job; getting the supplies they need for the baby. They not only have classes for the mom, but for the dad, called Dad Strong; they also offer post-abortion classes for anyone seeking forgivness called "Saved One". I am so glad to be a part of this non-profit.

9 years ago there was a vision of a crisis pregnancy center in Harrisburg NC. Our center has grown and we have had to relocate to a larger location to help women in a crisis pregnancy situation. Why is it a crisis? Economic, teen pregnancy, a grandmother that has custody of their grandchild, a single dad, foster parents..many reasons, GATE is a place were we offer help, support, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on and referrals to other agencies. I started out as a volunteer and now I am the assistant director. We have open hearts to help those in need.
This nonprofit has a genuine love for these ladies and provides so much support for them and their new babies. It would be wonderful for this group to have more community exposure and financial support. This is a true nonprofit organization and focus all interests on these ladies and meeting their needs.
I’ve been volunteering at GATE Pregnancy Resource Center for 5 years. There is a wonderful staff that train volunteers. I always feel valued by the staff and women with whom I work.

I began volunteering at GATE PRC over a year ago. It is an amazing organization that shows love and compassion to all that enter the doors. I have the privilege to serve as a coach and teacher to the women who come for assistance. Christian love shown to women is without judgement.
I have been a volunteer at Gate Pregnancy Resource Center for about 5 yrs. We administer free pregnancy tests and discuss pregnancy options. We do not offer abortion services but we do educate on the subject.
We offer a very comfortable, safe environment where women or couples can come to get education on prenatal, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, parenting topics and life skills.
Our resource room provides basic baby necessities such as diapers, wipes, clothing, etc. through our Earn To Learn Program.
I would encourage everyone to play a part in this wonderful organization! You can participate as a client, volunteer, sponsor, or a donor. Gate is always in need of new and lightly used baby items.
It’s an honor to be able to work amongst such amazing women who have hearts of serving, and loving others! We have such a wonderful opportunity to pour blessings into these ladies that come through our doors lives.
I really appreciate and enjoy this program very much. It is helping keep me informed and get me ready to know what I am getting into. Because this is my first pregnancy I am sooo glad there is a program like this one to help mother's like me (:
I really love this place. It is a very good place of your lost and not sure of how you are going to bring a child into this world. They will help you with all of your needs for a baby. If you are in need of help please don't hesitate. They are here to help. God bless you.
I enjoy working at Gate. It is very fullfilling and it has helped me grow in my Christian life. We help many families in diffucult times in their life and help to make this time in their life a happy time and enjoy their new addition in ther life.
GATE is a safe place for pregnant or new moms to come to classes, receive material needs, and find friends.
I volunteer at GATR PRC. I am so happy to be apart of this ministry, who helps So many young Moms in need. GATE is so blessed to have such a great community that supports and donates resources to help in this ministry
GATE is a great resource for women of all ages to come and experience community. Whether you are coming as a client or if you are a gracious volunteer...you will always leave this place feeling loved.
GATE is an agency that helps pregnant women and new mothers financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We come beside women to help when they are overwhelmed and feel life is hopeless.
GATE is an invaluable resource for our community; the services provided here are unmatched in our county. So blessed to be able to support this organization.
GATE pregnancy resource center is an organization that is TRULY dedicated to supporting our community; their support goes beyond assisting ladies throughout pregnancy-they know these ladies and babies by name and are available for advice, a shoulder to cry on, clothing for moms and siblings-There is not enough space to write it all in here. I have volunteered here on an as needed basis and I am always astonished at the blessings I receive upon walking in the door here. "We love you" and hugs are freely given-our community is a better place to live because of GATE.
This is a wonderful organization filled with caring workers, dedicated volunteers, and an abundance of resources and support. You feel welcomed the second you walk through the doors!
Gate PRC is a great organization. I had the privilege of volunteering for them a few years ago. They truly care about every person that walks through their doors. The community does an amazing job supporting them through donations.
When I started going to Gate pregnancy resources center I was not married and I was having my 3rd child. The women there were so nice they did everything they could to make sure I had what I needed for both of my children. I loved going to the meetings and learning about parenting and the Lord, while attending Gate and church I became married and started to see things in a whole different way. The encouraging words, actions and prayers that I received from the volunteers and staff were truly amazing!! Through this orangization I made many friends that I still talk to until this day I also had opportunities to do and learn things that I wouldn't have learned anywhere else. The staff truly understands your needs and take the time to get to know you and your children! I was very sad when my last child turned 1 and I didn't get to go anymore, but I often remember the things they taught me they are things that will forever stay with me and I will tell my children about the wonderful people who helped so much in a time of need and helped me to be the person and better mother that I am today!!
The women here are great. Very supportive. They treat the clients like family. I have dealt with this nonprofit group for the past 6 years and they just keep growing and getting better and better
This place is wonderful, all the ladies inside are such angels. You can lean on them for anything there always a phone call away. They have helped me so much threw my pregnancy and the birth of my lil man. They all hold a special place in my life !!!
I hace veen a client for 2 years now and coming here is thw best thing that ever happened to me! Gate has helped me so much with my pregnancies and beyond! These ladies are like family to me! This past year I got pregnant even after I had my tubes tied and I was a really stressful and emotional time. I am thankful that I did not have to go through that alone and got so much support from Gate. From clothes and diapers to prayers and emotional support. I am so glad they are a part of our lives!
I love them. There so sweet and caring and help in all possible ways. They give it there all to make sure everyone is taken care of.
I'm astounded at how well they are doing. Very knowledgeable and helpful with baby supplies and information.
I have used Gate for my 1st pregnancy, when I needed help. I didn't have support from my family at first. They were like family for me. Helped me to forget how scared I was to be a parent and they were a great support system and I was able to get diapers and wipes and clothes that I needed. I still go back to visit the ladys in the office and I always attend their yard sales. I definitley support this non profit group. Although I haven't been able to donate financially I have donated my kids clothes and accessories to Gate and I feel great when I do because I know it's going to someone that needs it and that the ladies in the office make sure their resources they receive are used for what they are supposed to be used for.
The resources are top of the line. Everything is beautiful and GATE is well maintained. All the people there are friendly and well trained.
Gate provides many blessing for people in distress who just don't know which way to turn. Volunteers give so much of themselves to those in need without batting an eye. You don't know if someday, someone you know can find love & hope from GATE.

I have volunteered with GATE PRC for one year serving as Treasurer of the Board. The impact this organization makes is literally the difference between life and death for the lives of the yet to be born children who come through their doors. As an adoptive mother of a child who could easily have been aborted, I have experienced first-hand the miracle of a totally innocent life that was spared death by abortion. Our son is now a 26-year old adult, has served his country through the U.S. Marine Corps and is own his way to making a difference in the lives of others. GATE PRC empowers young women to realize that allowing their children to live is the best decision they could make. They guide, counsel and care for these mothers during their pregnancies with such passion. Future leaders and outstanding citizens will have a chance at life because GATE PRC exists. Well done, good and faithful servants!

This Center is a wonderful gift to our community and surrounding areas. The center itself is beautiful and makes you feel special when you walk through the door. Volunteers are well trained and they love their clients. The director is a loving and caring person with lots of experience. Our community donates almost all resources, and GATE Pregnancy Resource Center is a 501(C)3 non-profit. Please continue to help support this valuable tool in our community.

I feel so honored to be able to write a review for GATE PRC, what a great ministry this has become in the last 8 years! This is a wonderful caring place where young women come together and receive support with material resources, pregnancy test, weekly classes, and most importantly love. One never enters the door of GATE PRC without leaving and feeling listen to and loved.
What a life-changing organization.
What a blessing this community has!
I donated lots of baby clothes and some baby equipment and they gave me the low down on their operation! This program is phenomenal. They give new moms in need classes and guidance. They offer baby supplies, clothing, equipment, etc and it's free. This is a wonderful non-profit!
Gate is a wonderful pregnancy resource Center. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance before, during, and after pregnancy. They are so helpful, friendly and caring.
My family and I have been so blessed by this center! We are a family living off 1 income and with a new baby things can get a little hard. Through the gate ressource center we have been able to get clothes, diapers and most of what our little one needs. The ladies working there are so nice and care about all the people coming through their doors. And attending the classes I have met others moms like me and made new friends. I am thankful to have found so much love and ladies who did not judge us but really cared and helped as much as they could. They even helped to make sure the kids were taken care of for the holidays and have blessed us with a meal through another church! They are simply amazing!
I am so very thankful for Gate Pregnancy Resource Center. Not only have they helped me with additional resources, but I have made lasting friendships with other moms. I had recently moved from Florida and I was new to the area, and the support I was given has helped so much. The staff was wonderful, they were there for me emotional, spiritually, and physically. I enjoy going to see everyone every week to catch up with my new friends. I fully recommend Gate Pregnancy Resource Center to new moms in the area .
GATE is an amazing place, where wonderful things are happening! In the past year life has thrown me some curve balls, and I feel so blessed to have come across GATE. The volunteers there are fantastic! They will laugh with you, cry with you, pray with you and pray for you. It is a place that you feel safe, comfortable and loved. They always have you and your babies best interest in mind. They generously provide lots of material resources as well as great classes on a variety of topics. They help you to be the best mother that you can be while you are pregnant and after. You also have the opportunity to socialize with other mothers. My experience there has enriched my life and the life of my children. I would recommend GATE to anyone who could use a little extra help and extra prayers. Thank you GATE for all you do!
Gate pregnancy resource center was welcoming at first when I first came to get resources for my unborn twins then when I didn't have proper paper work according to there policy they got loud and disrespectful I'd never go back to them for support ever poor staffing, poor customer service supervisor is rude and none understanding just not a place for a pregnant women or couple to be I would highly NOT recommend gate pregnancy resource center to anybody whom is pregnant they are rude and won't provide services unless you have proper documents as I did have proper documents. So don't go there . that place should run out of business soon anyways cause there's others who have complained about there messy services.
I moved to this area in May and one of the first things I did was look for a pregnancy resource center. I had volunteered at one in my home town and knew I wanted to continue volunteering. Upon walking into the center the first time I was greeted warmly and shown around the center. When I expressed my desire to volunteer I was set up with the director and began the application process. Within days I was working as a part of this group. In the short time I have been there, I have seen the genuine care and concern they have for every woman who walks in the door. The dignity and respect they show these women is evident. I have also noticed that EVERY request for help is earnestly met with the resources the organization has or referrals to other organizations that can meet the needs.
As a volunteer I have understood the value of my time with plenty of opportunities to take on new tasks and be a part of a wonderful life-affirming team. This organization is not only wonderful for clients, but for volunteers as well.
Harrisburg is lucky to have such a wonderful caring place that ministers to women during what maybe an incredibly stressful time. The staff and volunteers are so kind, loving, and supportive!
GATE is a loving and caring place for women to come together and find help and information about their pregnancy and/or their baby. A place where they can learn, laugh and share about life as a mom. Anything a new mom would need for her baby (up to one year old) is available to her family. Even though I have only been here a short time, I can see that everyone here has a heart for these ladies and their family.

I learned about Gate from a volunteer of Gate's at one of their yard sales. I had gotten divorced and was using credit cards to get by when I first walked into Gate. I knew that my financial situation was getting worse and having a baby was going to cause things to get even worse and I wanted to try to figure out what to do. I walked into Gate not knowing what to expect. I had never needed help before and I felt a little strange about it. The people who run Gate and the volunteers were so helpful to me. They worked with me on my financial situation along with all the other things Gate does. The resources - baby formula, baby clothes, wipes, diapers, etc. have helped me tremendously to make ends meet in times when I was really struggling. I am so glad I walked into Gate and decided to find out what they are all about. Now I am about to age out as my son will be 1 year old before too long and I feel sad that I will be leaving the program. The classes have helped me to bond with other women, whatever situations we are in. All of us, as clients, want to be the best parents we can be. It's been just a joy to see babies be born and grow and relationships be built. The classes also are a tremendous aid. There are just too many benefits to mention. If you are out there and are having a baby at whatever age, whatever income, please contact someone at Gate and learn more about how they can help you through your pregnancy, birth and raising your child.
I am a client. This center has helped in so many ways. This center gives hope, love, peace of mind, and understanding. I was afraid at first because a lot of centers judge you and make you feel worst than you started before entering. I know for certain this group of workers have a passion for their work. This center is one of the most safe and confidential places that provide help for expecting moms. I would have never accomplished over half the things I done without this team of caring professionals. I thank God for them and I wish and pray that every hand that interacts with this ministry prospers in all walks of life. Thanks for all you all have done.
As of September of this year, I will have been a volunteer at GATE for two years. In those two years I have been beyond blessed to serve the mothers and children that come into the doors. I know that GATE is a blessing to others, but it is also a blessing to me: watching young women become inspired to continue to be great mothers is a privledge. I am honored to be part of this wonderful ministry.
I have volunteered at GATE since the first day the doors were opened. I had my expectations of the impact that it would have on clients and our community, but it has far exceeded my expectations. It is a joy and a blessing to me to serve the wonderful clients that walk through our doors and to work with the dedicated staff and volunteers. This center is truly a bright light to both the clients and the volunteers and I see it on the face of each client that I have the opportunity to serve.
I was a client over 5 years ago. Gate was there to help with everything I needed for my daughter. I really appreciated everything the ladies have did for me and my children.
I am a single mother and without Gate I'm not sure what I would have done to prepare for my twins. I was given the opportunity to be one of the first mothers into a really nice consignment sale, not only that, they had given me $70 to shop with! I came out with gently used things for my babies and I was 3 months ready for their arrival. Not once have the wonderful women that volunteer here turned me away, and not once have I felt unloved. They made sure I knew their was no struggle to hard for God in the bible study classes. They also opened the door to other mothers with similar life stories, and some with completely different stories for me to learn from. Most of the women have no idea which ways they motivate and inspire me. My kids are doing great and I am very thankful I have a place to not only help me financially but mentally as well. The volunteers are blessed and I am blessed my family and I can say they are our friends!
I was a client a little over 3 years ago. These ladies are great!!! They gave me a since of hope when I felt I had no where to turn. They helped me through it all. My son as since out grown the services but they still keep in touch. It has been a wonderful place for me and my family. They treated us with a dignity and respect other places did not. I don't know if I would have made it without the wonderful services and staff of GATE.
I have been going to GATE for almost a year now. They have been nothing but helpful. If it weren't for them I don't know how I would have been able to do it financially. I Love you guys! Thanks for everything that you do, you are greatly appreciated!
I have been a client for almost a year now and this organization has really help me out. Gate PRC has done so much for my child and I. Honestly Gate has done so much than I could ever expect. Not only have I been able to earn stuff to buy stuff its also taught me things I honestly would not have found out on my own, Its more than an organization its a second home for me to go to when i need to escape, I cant thank you enough for helping me through the tragedy I have been going through more ways than one. THANK YOU , Plus my rel;relationship with OUR GOD is so much better!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU
I have been a volunteer at GATE for the past 6 years. The dedication and commitment to our clients has impacted so many lives in a positive way. The families that come through our door are not just a statistic but an opportunity to fill a need. We provide services for any woman in a crisis pregnancy whether they are teenagers, married or unmarried women who can't afford to have a baby. We provide resources for the clients and their babies in addition to classes on parenting, peer counseling and support groups. We are pro-life and each client and their baby is precious to us and God. This Center is truly a special place!
I am a volunteer at Gate Pregnancy Resource Center. The center is a freedom of choice, non-discriminating, nonprofit organization. Each and every client is afforded the utmost confidentiality and offered no cost education and literature on prenatal information, child rearing, and child safety. Clients are also educated on the choices they have regarding their pregnancy. All clients are treated with respect. The center is a great resource for classes, literature, support services, along with prenatal clothes and baby clothing, formula, diapers, and various baby equipment. Every client matters. Donations, staff and volunteers are essential in keeping the center operating to properly support clients.
I HAVE BEEN SERVING AT GATE FOR TWO YEARS. I SAW HOW THIS ORGANIZATION SERVED THE COMMUNITY AND HELPED WOMEN OF DIFFERENT AGE, SOCIAL BACKGROUND AND RACE, ALL THESE DIFFERENT WOMEN HAVE IN COMMON A PROBLEMATIC PREGNANCY . GATE ALWAYS ACCEPTED THEM WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION AND OFFERED THEM THE RESOURCES AND COMFORT THAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR.
I have volunteered in the Center and now serve on the Board of Directors. I cannot tell you the satisfaction I see when I walk into the Center and see the women there with their babies. The volunteers at GATE have a passion for what they do. They serve our clients with open minds and hearts.
The clients come for the support they need to be great moms. We now have clients who have gone through our program and are now volunteering to pay it forward. How great to see it all come full circle!
GATE empowers young women to become better mothers through classes, peer counseling, and moral support during their pregnancies. GATE also offers tangible assistance to those mothers by providing resources for them and their babies that they may not be able to afford in this difficult economy. Young women's lives are changed at GATE through the love, encouragement, and acceptance they receive when they walk through the doors of our center.
Gate is a wonderful organization to help mothers who need a place to go for support during their pregancy journey. They will help the mother develop a unique plan to guide them over the next 9 months, and assist with not just the emotional needs of the mom but can provide or find resources for the physical things a new parent may need.
I have been with GATE PRC since our center was just an idea. We welcome clients with open arms and hearts, to walk with them through whatever pregnancy situation they are going through. We let them know this is their haven away from turmoil and try to help them through that. No matter the race, religion or creed we are here to assist them.
I love our moms and their precious babies. I can't speak Spanish; but, I have a special relationship with them and we have come to somewhat understand each other most of the time.
I learned about the center through a couple of young ladies I met at a church function. I sat down with them randomly and we began chatting.. I asked a few questions about their babies and they told me that they came to GATE and it had been such a blessing for them both. I had no idea what it was so I went online and found the website. I had recently moved to the area and was looking for a way to serve in the community, and to meet people with similar interests. I filled out a volunteer form and met with the Director and loved them all immediately. I began volunteering once an week and love every second. The girls are so appreciative, and have such a good relationship with the women who direct the group classes, and work in the resource room. Its so nice to see that they have a place that they feel comfortable sharing whats going on in their lives, knowing it doesnt leave these walls. Its a blessing to them to have the facility to help suppliment the needs of the baby... and we are here for them... we love and care for them as though they were our daughters, sisters and friends. Its a beautiful place to be and I have so much gratitude for everyone who walks through these doors.
I started volunteering at GATE in September of 2009 as a project for a college class. The class ended that December, but I never left. My experience as a volunteer at Gate has been such an amazing and rewarding experience. I am energized by the caring staff and wonderful girls that take advantage of GATE's services on every visit. I cannot imagine my life without GATE!
Having experienced a crisis pregnancy in my own life when I was 27 years old, I wish I would have known more about crisis pregnancy centers. Instead, my path took me into the doors of an abortion clinic. It would be almost 10 years later before I would ever visit a crisis pregnancy center and learn of the wonderful work being done to help women in such a position. After participating in a post-abortion program through a local center, I became a volunteer counselor. A crisis pregnancy in my own family took me away from counseling for a while. A few months ago, a client of GATE gave her testimony for Sanctity of Life Sunday at our church and that passion for these women stirred inside of me to return to counseling women in crisis.
Since becoming a volunteer at GATE, I have seen a love for these women that only comes from a true and sincere heart for what they are going through. GATE offers counseling, clothing (babies and mothers to be), classes, Bible studies, diapers, accessories and many other services to its clients. But the most important thing we can offer is love, patience and understanding to women.
Come and be a part of a wonderful ministry!
GATE is a wonderful non-profit organization that strives to minister to the needs of women and their babies in the community. GATE shares the love of Jesus Christ with others and provides support to women in crisis situations. When you walk in the door at GATE, you feel the love of Jesus Christ.
Volunteering at Gate means I get to work with a team of women who really care about the ladies in their community that are pregnant and need help either emotionally or financially. We get to give encouragement, help them learn about caring for themselves and their babies, and feel like we are making a difference in the lives of these women. And during all of this, hopefully bringing the message of how Jesus loves each and every one of them and desires a life long relationship.
