By integrating educational programs, cross-cultural outreach, art and crafts programs, music, yoga, and humanitarian assistance in a unique and masterful way, the CCB sets the example in taking volunteerism to the next level! Its accomplishments, the result of a rare perfect blend of vision, commitment, and action, are guideposts for others to follow. Many are those who recognize that children are the future, but the actionable engagement opportunities that the CCB provides to children and others are unmatched.
My adventure with CCB started a couple years ago when I reunited with Wendy at a class reunion. Her story and this foundation has touched my soul. In today's society, children are not as aware as they should be about humanitarian actions. CCB inspired me to act in my community and share with my children just how important they and other children, underpriveledged children , are to our future. CCB not only gives to the future of the children, but they have taught me and my children how to give back. Having a Children Creating Bridges in our community allowed my children to become so aware that when crisis in other countries happen- they came to me and said," HOW DO WE HELP!" My suburbian children understand that foundations like Children Creating Bridges create projects(orphanage,refugees..) in Syria,Iraqi,Ethiopia, because they care about all children; and they are very honored to have such an organization in our home community.
I have been involved with Children Creating Bridges for some time and hope to do more work with them in the future. CCB is a great organization working for a great cause. The variety of events and projects that CCB organizes both locally and internationally offers everyone an opportunity to contribute. I hope that CCB grows to include many more projects that help children all around.
I have had the pleasure of helping Children Creating Bridges with their fund raising efforts and I'm thrilled to do my small part in all the work they do. I look forward to more fundraising parties in the future!
I have been fortunate enough to attend and participate in a number of Children Creating Bridges projects over the past couple of years. They have a wide variety of domestic and international projects, including Warm Caps for Babies, Global Journey Through Music, Free Yoga, Book Donation, Ethiopia Outreach, Iraqi Refugee Crisis in Syria to name a few. Every project, activities and event has been well organized and beautifully executed. Wendy Keslick, the director, is passionate and hard working. She and the whole CCB board look for ways to help make the world a better place and does everything they can to make it happen. CCB is an amazing organization. They deserve all of the recognition and support they can get.
This is a great non-profit organization for both children & adults. Their local and international projects/programs help our children understand that our goal in this world is just about accumulating wealth but about sharing and helping others that are not that fortunate. Their most recent musical program for Haiti was fabulous!
My adventure with CCB started a couple years ago during a conversation happened beetween Wendy(founder) and me.I was so touched and inspired about her passion for humanitarian actions. So I decided to donate and volunteer for CCB whenever I could.Despite the tough time ,children are seeking our help because they are "the future" and without them there is no future for us.My biggest concern is to help for achieving the children dream(better living).Children Creating Bridges is involving in many projects(orphanage,refugees..) in Syria,Iraqi,Ethiopia by doing fund raising events, workshops etc.My hope is to see one day CCB nominate as CNN hero.
I got introduced to Children Creating Bridges during a conversation with the founder, Wendy. Her passion for the cause inspired me to volunteer for CCB in whichever way I could. The idea of helping children to bridge any need they have and helping them have a better future was a big reason for me to join CCB. CCB is involved in various projects including these in Iraq and Ethiopia. I have volunteered with CCB for the past couple of years and have helped them with their fund raising events; doing workshops and helping with whatever I can. I hope to see CCB grow and achieve bigger goals.
My experience with Childern Creating Bridges is that it is a fantastic orgination! They are doing amazing things to help children. I love all the activites they have, and they have so many ways to help that you can always find something you like in order to help them! My personal experience is that for the last two years I have participated in the Women's Triathlon with them! I never thought I could do a triathlon but having the organization behind me pushing me I was not only able to finish I now love it! I love crossing that finish line knowing I did a triathlon and helped raise money for an incredible organiation!
So far my experiences with Children creating bridges have ranged from donating money, attending events, and volunteering. I donated a small amount of money in 2009. Wendy invited me to an event last summer, I believe it was the annual report, but I forget what the actual name of the event was. I was overwhelmed with the stories and with what they are trying to achieve. I volunteered some of my time, not enough, but some to help paint their retail store. I then attended a fund raiser for haiti relief at the store. I have met many wonderful people, and heard some fascinating stories. Frankly, I met people that I never would have had any chance to encounter in my daily life. I do not know how much impact they are making, but the effort and passion they put into it is truely amazing.
Children Creating Bridges is an organization that is making a difference for children locally and globally through activities that engage children and adults. Children Creating Bridges has given me the opportunity to channel my personal talents and interests into work that enhances the greater good. One of my favorite CCB activities is knitting caps for babies all over the world to help reduce infant mortality rates. With that activity I get to use my creativity and recreation to help others, and I get to teach the skill to others young and old. I especially love the fact that the activity raises the awareness of young people in my area about those less fortunate than they are!
As the founder/director of this 501(c)3 nonprofit, I am thrilled that CCB has the opportunity to share Iraqi refugee artwork, live world music performances and globally-minded arts and crafts workshops to the members of our community! In addition, in our Cultural Center and Global Emporium, we are able to help sustain our programs by the sale of fairly traded and environmentally-friendly handicrafts from around the world. We hope you will join us!
