Mission: Social club
Programs: The club provides a program of social activities and events for members and guests throughout the year organized by a social committee including new year's eve and st. Patrick's day dinner dances and picnics during the summer holidays. The social committee also schedules weekly performances of local "irish" bands in the club's pub and hosts an annual dancing with the stars fundraiser.
the club promotes the enjoyment of irish culture through the sponsorship of the fairfield gaelic pipe band, clan na gael players, a group of approximately 30 members who perform plays written by irsih playwrights or addressing irish themes, hosting irish language and dance classes, traditional irish music sessions and lectures on irish history and current events. The club also supports irish sports, a big part of the irish culture, through sponsorship of the st. Patrick's gaelic football and hurling club and the weekly televising of irish football and hurling broadcasts from ireland in season.
the club runs an active seniors program with monthly luncheons and periodic day trips. A library containing irish literature is maintained and a separate irish-themed children's room is available to members and guests. Two scholarships are awarded each year to rising college freshmen and various charities are supported by the club in addition to those that benefit from the dancing with the stars fundraiser.
