I didn't expect to so impressed by this hidden gem of a gallery, but it was amazing. The Highwaymen Show, while very commercial, was a celebration of imagination and commerce. I loved it so much more that I ever expected to. I continue to drive over for new shows and look forward to taking my Mother visits from Manhattan. I've been exposed to art all my life, and salute the Gadsden Art Group for achieving a rare vision and mission.
When we moved from Washington, DC to tiny Quincy, FL in 2006 we were amazed to find this cultural gem. We were used to lots of art - museums, galleries, festivals - and the Gasden Arts Center offers an arts experience that can stand up to "the big city." It has regular shows in a great space, offers artwork for sale that mere mortals can afford, and has a delightful gift shop staffed by enthusiastic volunteers. We look forward to the openings, but even more to just wandering through the shows on Saturday mornings when the gallery is quiet so that we can take it all in.
