I work closely with this organization as a prior Board Member, and now a part time Executive Director. I know the founder personally, and her story is one of resilience, hope and caring. Gabrielle's Wings creates Peace Corners for children K-8 in underserved communities, and since its inception has helped thousands of children regain their calm, increase their confidence, and return to their activities in schools, camps and communities. The Board is made up of committed, intelligent people who want nothing other than to help these children.

Mission: Our mission is to provide children of color in underserved, historically excluded communities with the opportunities to reach their unlimited potential. Our goal is to strengthen a child’s ability to succeed in life and to give them the power to inspire others. We work towards creating a network of partnerships that: • Cultivate social-emotional learning which helps children develop crucial life skills such as resilience, responsible decision making, self-awareness, and empathy. • Provide safe spaces where children can learn, grow, explore, and be curious. At Gabrielle’s Wings, we believe in the power of the butterfly effect: one small change can have a huge impact.
