Furry Farm gave my dog (Hobbs) a soft spot to recover after he was found wandering down the road and was impounded by animal control. He was skinny, had a dislocated hip, and I’m sure he was scared. They took excellent care of him while he recovered and had no shortage of love! They were thorough with the adoption process and it was very obvious how much they cared about him and our experience with him. They continue to check in on us and are so supportive. Hobbs is now happy and healthy and I am so thankful for Furry Farm Rescue!
We adopted our youngest pup from The Furry Farm about 5 plus years ago. I really appreciated the process. They check references and verify vet information on current animals in the house to make sure their animals are going to stable homes.
They also do home visits before adoption. They commit to their animals for life so if there is an issue they will take the animals back and find another suitable home. I can say our puo has been a blessing. She makes us laugh everyday and has been a great addition to our home. I highly recommend The Furry Farm Rescue if you are looking to add to your pack.
I have the most amazing companion thanks to Furry Farm Rescue. I applied with the organization with the hope of finding a senior dog in need of a home. Federica showed such commitment and took great care in finding me the perfect dog, I truly couldn't be happier with her choice.
I would highly recommend this organization due to the dedicated team who work so hard to make a difference and find homes for the animals in their care.
Thank you again Federica, Steph, and Helen !
XOXOXO

Furry Farm is a fantastic group of people working tirelessly to save animals that, through no faults of their own, find themselves in bad situations. They have no office building but what they do have is a great network of foster families ready to open their hearts and homes. The need is always greater than the workers, but somehow they seem to always find a way to say “yes”. I’m so thankful for the work they do in our community!
Furry Farm really cares about all its rescues. I have been a foster for them and have adopted from them. Stephanie will go out of her way to help with anything you need.
We have adopted three pets from FFR. Their vetting process and adoption follow up is one of the best I've ever seen. Their commitment to helping animals in need inspired our family to foster and volunteer for them too. Such a great group of caring individuals!
I've rescued all my dogs and felt that I was doing my part in helping shelter dogs, but when a friend asked me to get involved with a local rescue - I was unsure, I had never worked with a rescue. I decided to take a step forward and joined The Furry Farm as a volunteer. In the past year and a half I have witnessed first hand the amount of change even a small organization can do. We take in all kinds of animals who need a hand - whether that be just a safe place to land, or extensive medical work that other rescues or shelters were unable to provide. We have a phenomenal team of fosters - without which we wouldn't be able to function! This group repeatedly opens their hearts and homes to animals in need. We have a great group of adoption coordinators and folks who work applications. They work tirelessly to make sure the applicant and animal are a perfect fit - which is reflected on our extremely low return rate. We work with amazing vets, who take sometimes extremely broken bodies and mend them - even if that means long days for them. Our Board of Directors really puts our community and how we can help locally as our main focus and all decisions stem from that goal. I could go on and on. This rescue has really opened my eyes to the underbelly of neglected, lost and discarded animals and to be able to help them and see them heal, grow and blossom is something I cherish every day.
We adopted this little parvo survivor from the Furry Farm in November of 2020. We had just lost our girl Sara and this girl found her way through my husbands Facebook feed and I was hooked. Her name was Zara, too close too Sara. Hubby picked her name and now she's best known as Lucy Fur!!! If the stars hadn't aligned and the Furry Farm hadn't stepped in this girl wouldn't have made it and into our lives!! Thank you Stephanie and The Furry Farm for all you do!
I have been volunteering with FFR for a couple of years now and seen it blossom and grow into a true community minded organization. Not only do they strive to be a safe haven for animals in need, but also do all they can to support the community by providing education, spay/neuter support, behavioral training guidance, and other resources. There truly is no judgment or condemnation for those seeking support or wanting to surrender an animal. Too often a people shy away from smaller rescue organizations because of the critical and harsh judgment they receive - but you won’t find that at The Furry Farm. They have saved hundreds of animals now from cats and dogs to goats and a horse! They won’t shy away from hard medical or behavioral cases - they truly will advocate for the well being of the animal and are patient to find the best fit.
I have been a volunteer for a short time with FFR. Even though it hasn’t been a long time, I really enjoy being part of this team. Their values and protocols align well with my own. They are truly in it for the animals.
I have volunteered in animal welfare for the last eight years. It is truly my passion. I started my journey with our local animal shelter where I primarily walked dogs and attended dog adoption events over a five year period. While I was there, they had volunteers in the double digits on a regular basis. I also volunteered for a German Shepherd rescue for a period of time, logging hundreds of volunteer hours. They also had volunteers in the double digits regularly.
It wasn’t until I began volunteering with Furry Farm Rescue two years ago, that I learned how efficiently an animal welfare organization can operate. Last year FFR adopted out 74 animals, with only 6 volunteers! And, it was done with the same budget as the prior year! To me, that is a huge accomplishment and shows as a rescue, they are doing the most possible with the resources available to them.
My proudest FFR memory so far is how the rescue was able to take in 12 stray dogs at once - a mama dog, her nine puppies, and her two male traveling companions. FFR secured foster homes, accomplished needed vetting, and in 2-3 months time, had them all in loving forever homes.
FFR is only a few years old but, has accomplished a lot in that time. The rescue has a solid foundation, with founders who are guiding it in the right direction. I know FFR has what it takes to continue helping animals and our community for many years to come!
