Furniture Bank has been very busy since 2018 began. From being blessed by 100+ Women Who Care with a donation to cover our bed costs for the year to the monthly financial donations, we are able to provide needed furniture and furnishings to our client families and individuals to make their houses into homes.
Jane is a mother of 2 children who after regaining and sustaining her sobriety, completed a job training program found gainful employment and a safe place to live for her and her 2 young children. Furniture Bank had the humbling honor to work directly with CPS to help furnish her new home with needed Toddler beds along with living room, kitchen, and bedroom furniture to allow her to be reunited with her children!
Mary is a mother of 6 children who came to Arizona to escape a chronic domestic violence situation. She had willingly completed a job training program to gain a good job and through our partner agency was placed in affordable and safe housing for her and her children. Furniture Bank was blessed to be able to provide needed new Bunk beds and twin beds for all the children as well as student desks, a kitchen table and chairs, along with other needed furniture and furnishings. We were also able to bless this busy mom of 6 with a gift card for groceries and supplies that one of our generous donors provided to us! Miss Tami and I are blessed and constantly amazed at how the Lord works through our donor community to make sure our clients’ needs are constantly met!
Bill is a veteran who was chronically homeless and suffering from PTSD. He became willing to get help and went through a PTSD recovery program and then onto job training. Our partner organization contacted us to help furnish Bill’s home. He has broken the mold of the chronically homeless to regain self-sustainability and is participating in after care programs to learn financial and parental responsibilities. Bill needed help furnishing his new home with an extra bedroom suit so his 13 year old son could begin visiting him after many years of separation. Furniture Bank was honored to help not only furnish his son’s bedroom, but also to provide a student desk, dining room set, and more living room furniture. Bill sent us a thank you note to share how excited his son was to see his new room!
These are just a few of the many stories we are participating in weekly! Furniture Bank is God’s deal. Miss Tami, a few friends, and myself are just honored to serve.
Your prayers, financial kindness, and donations of furniture and furnishings makes this all possible. All of our volunteers including me are blessed with jobs so we do not take any money for what we do for Furniture Bank. 100% of all donations go directly to help support our client families, veterans, seniors, and individuals.
Thank you for helping us help others!!
God Bless you and your family!
