Furgiven Animal Sanctuary

I was introduced to Furgiven Animal Sanctuary on Tiktok when I saw a sweet video of one of their rescues, Patches. I finally caught one of their "Lives" and immediately could tell how special this place was going to be to me.
I went to an event at the Sanctuary and saw first hand this staff are some of the most genuine, loving people I have ever met. I have truly made some lifelong friends in my short time with this organization.
What makes them unique is Furgiven gives dogs a second, second chance by pulling from overcrowded rescues euthanasia list and dogs with disabilities that people tend to overlook.
They rehabilitate the disabled and give every dog that comes through their doors a chance to have a loving fulfilled life!
Furgiven is a very special place and I cannot say enough great things about the staff and everyone associated with it.

My wife kept telling me about this great organization that cares for animals with special needs. She would watch the "lives" on TikTok and I started watching them with her. Watching how they truly care for those furbabies is such a great thing to watch. You can tell they do care about each and everyone of them. We had the pleasure of going to the Sanctuary and meeting the staff and furbabies and it was just awesome to see. It's great that those babies have people like them that really care.

Furgiven Animal Sanctuary is one of the greatest nonprofits I have ever encountered. I was just blessed this year in finding them on Tik Tok, when they were housing a handicapped puppy named Patches. Patches is a miracle story and wouldn't have happened without the love, kindness, dedication, and attention provided by Furgiven. Patches was just a puppy when he came to Furgiven Animal Sanctuary, he couldn't walk, eat, drink or do much of anything. Furgiven provided Patches everything he needed during the different stages of learning how to walk and manvuer through life with his diagnosis. They provided him with a wheelchair and did daily physical therapy with him. They were patient with Patches even though he loved to bite them. They did so well with working with him, that Patches just recently got adopted. He got adopted by someone in the Furgiven Family because she was in love with Patches, we all were and still are. They make sure each adopter is set up for success and educated on how to take care of each dog the proper and best way! They do an extensive interview process and discussion. They provide supplies and ensure each dog is healthy and ready for their furever home before sending them on their way. We saw first hand how much they cared about and worked with Patches. Furgiven answered all of our questions, educated us time and time again, spoke about the Dr. visits, and kept us updated on his progress like we were all Patches family. That's what Furgiven Animal Sanctuary is, it's a family. We all care for one another and for all of the animals. It may be small but it is quite mighty. The founders, the tiny staff, volunteers, and the HUGE community backing up this wonderful place is phenomenal!

I think it speaks volumes when you have a dedicated group of people waiting enthusiastically for you to start your Tik Tok "Live", not once, but twice daily, except Sundays! Lee and Colby will be there rain or shine, answering questions, sharing their beautiful dogs in all of their glory, sharing the amazing stories of these warrior dogs who won't give up, telling us about the progress of the current dogs, giving updates for dogs adopted, giving us teasers about new dogs coming, and creating a special place not only on Tik Tok and Discord, but in our hearts! When you have people flying or driving in from across the states or even from other countries to help with a fundraiser, you know you're doing something right! You know that your hard work and dedication is seen and heard! We all love the dogs like they were our own because of how Furgiven Animal Sanctuary presents themselves and their beautiful dogs. They have not only made the dogs feel like FAS is their home, but all of us as well. They celebrate with everyone, they check in on everyone, they use everyone's name, they make sure we are doing well, send us well wishes when we or our family is not feeling well, give virtual hugs, check on our dogs, and give words of wisdom. I consider Furgiven Animal Sanctuary and the community my friends and family. I am truly blessed to have found them and would do anything to support them in any way I could!

Furgiven never solicits for donations, instead they have their community asking them how they can help and how they can donate. Sometimes people are "fighting" to give and multiple people send food at the same time because the dogs need it and they know Furgiven is going to take care of those sweet babies. They are always so grateful and appreciative for anything that people are able to give, no matter how big or small. They are grateful for people just coming into the Tik Tok Lives and tapping the screen! They say thank you every time to everyone! They make sure you feel welcomed and appreciated, every single day and every single time! They tell you not to overextend yourself and give what you can. We give because we want too, not because we are forced too. We know exactly where our donations are going and want to help just as much as we can because we love them and all the dogs!

They do quite a bit of overextending themselves and sacrifice a great deal for the well being of the animals. They come in early, work late, come in on days off, miss holidays and special occasions, work on their birthdays, rarely if ever take vacations, come in tired or not feeling well, and always put the dogs first. For them, there are truly no days off when it comes to rescuing. They will drive near or far to pick up a dog who is fighting for their life or being discarded because of their disability. They help other rescues, partnering with them to help even more animals. When they have "extra" food, toys, supplies, what do these fabulous folks do? They offer to other rescues to help even more dogs and animals in need. How fantastic is that? They put their blood, sweat, tears, and love into everything and every dog they come into contact with, making sure their "helping hand" extends even farther than that of West Memphis. At this point, it's international and will continue to grow even more as they continue their mission.

Furgiven is completely transparent and explains everything they do in great detail, over and over again, with the patience of a saint! I have learned so much in the short time that I have known them. I have shared that information with others. Before them, I knew nothing about special needs dogs, now I know! They are ALWAYS happy, making jokes, and loving on the dogs. They never give up on their dogs and provide the greatest care that they could ever recieve. They make the dogs feel loved, special, and treat them as if they were their very own. They give each dog special catered attention just for them daily! If you saw how they treated their pets at home and then compared how they treated them at the sanctuary, there would be no difference. They take the time to make sure every dog's special needs are accounted for and taken care of, without missing a beat! How do I and the rest of the community know? Because they not only tell us, but show us daily on their Tik Tok Lives, through videos, through pictures, and by just watching them! They go into great detail about each and every dog, what they need, the why behind it, how they are going to help them, why something wouldn't help them, and everything in between. They share without having to be asked, but if you ask they will give you all the details. They are incredible people who have never nor will ever give up on a dog. They understand and act amazingly with the process of rescuing, healing, nurturing, physical therapy, play groups, navigating around different personalities, eating styles, enrichment, integrity, respect, inclusion, and diversity! They are without a doubt a magical nonprofit filled with phenomenal magnificent angels trying to save a life, one dog at a time.

I know this post is long, I appreciate you and thank you if you made it this far, but this is only a small snippet of amazing work Furgiven Animal Sanctuary does every day and I'm just an outsider looking in. I can ONLY imagine all the incredible work being done on the inside to make the gears turn and operate at the level they do! They never cease to amaze me and ALWAYS make my day! I know I can count on them for a smile, laugh, or some words of encouragement! This review only has 5 stars, if I could, I would give FAS a recommendation of the amount of infinity stars! Furgiven is amazing place. Without furgiven I wouldn’t have a smile on my face every morning and afternoon. Although I’ve only known them since September of last year it feels like I’ve known them forever. Most of all I love that they care about people and animals of kinds disability or just unique in a special way. They show a lot of love especially with other rescues and that’s what I love about them

First and foremost when you read the mission statement every word is the truth. When I found them on TikTok I instantly knew this was the place I had to follow and support. The caring is so obviously seen when watching their lives. They all truly want the best for each and every animal aka fur babies. The best part about Furgiven is they actually make sure these sweet fur babies get the best home or even a foster. How I truly feel is they are earth angels for all animals….even humans too. ;-). How could anyone not love these amazing people.

I’ve only know Furgiven Animal Sanctuary for a few months, and I think they are amazing people! They never give up on their dogs. I love how they never ask for donate or anything. Other than that they are lovely people and have good inspiration on the young people. They are lovely people and are sweet towards their animals, They will always be the home of second second chances.

Furgiven has quickly become one of my favorite rescues. They were quick to assist and go out of their way to help a special needs puppy that I was contacted about, and wasted no time setting up a plan for his success to help another rescue. It’s so easy to feel fatigued in rescue and these guys are such a bright light every day that it’s easy to love them. Their unwavering loyalty to the welfare of dogs and commitment to see the adoptions through no matter the time spent is what the rescue world needs more of. I truly look up to these guys and look forward to mornings spent watching them smile, doing what they love.

Furgiven has to be the most amazing animal group I’ve ever come across. The are the home of Second “second” chances. They give the pups that are so easily given up on a new hope. They help the dogs that have disabilities, have been left in the heat or had been in the same shelter for years. They put so much compassion, time and care into not only their animals but the community as well! A few months ago they took in a pup they had believed to be paralyzed and got him in a chair and vetting and gave him a life that probably wouldn’t have happened without this group. He is now loving life in an actual home! Even when they are at events they bring water bowls for the pups passing by! I am a proud supporter of this group and am beyond thankful to be able to watch them prosper and grow everyday! They give some a reason to wake up by their friendly attitudes and the amazing group of dogs they have. Furgiven truly deserves so much recognition and support because they really are something special.

Furgiven is an excellent, ethically run rescue. Intention is put into every detail of the dogs’ care. Their lives are enriched daily and individualized needs embraced.

Furgiven is unique, filling an often forgotten gap within that rescue world. As the home of “second, second chances”, they solely assist dogs from other rescues and high-risk shelters. They function as a glimmering light of hope for dogs who have sat unpicked for months (or years), or those who are at risk due to disability or have other special needs. In the search for “Great Nonprofits”, Furgiven truly is exceptional.

I found Furgiven Animal Sanctuary on Tik Tok last Fall. They had taken in a sweet pup named Patches who at first was thought to be paralyzed. As with all they give a second, second chance, he was taken to a vet and then to specialized vets to and give him the best care possible. Even before they had all the answers, they were doing things that greatly improved his life and abilities. They don't limit the furbabies there, they try to give them all they're able to help them develop and bloom to all they can be. They do lives usually twice daily, except Sundays and share the adoptables and educate the people who come in. They do videos on different platforms like Tik Tok, FaceBook, You Tube and Instagram which bring joy, tears, education. laughter and more. They work so hard to enrich the lives of those they take in for however long that is. They also help in the community doing treat and food giveaways, helping another rescue who is closing it's doors, etc. They are a blessing and are making a difference. Because of their care, many will get that forever.
