I went on a trip to Cuba and needed to donate to this charity under the travel agreements with the US and Cuba. This company processed by donation twice and since January I have been trying to get a refund. It appears that John McAuliff is the only person who works at this foundation and as he has been out of the country for months no one else can help?????? I find this very disturbing that a recognized foundation only has one!!!! employee. and they can get away with double charging and holding my funds for over 90 days now. If you are going to Cuba be very careful how they charge your credit card.
I am just seeing this in November 2023. We worked with hundreds of travelers so they were able to make licensed trips to Cuba. I was never out of the country for more than two weeks and don't recall ever seeing a message about this problem. The way the system worked, it is hard to know how he or she could have been double charged unless double registered. In any case, if he or she contacts me directly I am happy to discuss reimbursing the $50 or $75 registration fee. jmcauliff@ffrd.org
