I needed assistance with a cut off notice. They told me I needed to pay upfront $984.89.00 on a $1,603.02 bill. The past due was only $1300.62. I also believe they are more sympathetic to white people who need help. The google reviews show a pattern of praise and assistance to certain people only. Rude, unhelpful, and biased.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring fair and equitable service to all individuals. I, and my colleagues, would be more than happy to review your application and discuss your experience in detail. As a nonprofit organization, Fuel Fund requires applicants to contribute a portion of their utility bill, as they are the account holders. The amount owed is based on the utility meter reading date, and all figures provided are sourced directly from the BGE database. Additionally, I can share demographic data about our service territory to demonstrate our commitment to serving a diverse community. I assure you that the Fuel Fund does not discriminate in providing financial assistance. Our goal is to support those who follow the application process and take responsibility for their utility bills. Please feel free to contact me at: dbrown@fuelfundmaryland.org so I, and the team, can address your concerns directly.
