We have hosted a darling preteen from the Ukraine through Frontier Horizons and are now in the process of adopting her! The tireless efforts of the volunteers with FH amaze me and I am so glad I found them! We hope to sponsor more children to be hosted in the future. It is an amazing, eye opening, and life changing experience and we recommend learning more about it! For any families who are considering it, inquire, read up and then DO IT! It is not always easy but it is well worth it. Then, tell everyone you know! I didn't know anything about it until Christmas 2012 and now I have told hundreds of people in hopes that they will do the same.

Thank you, Frontier Horizons, for all your hard work! Maggie, you really know how to make things happen! Thank you most of all for uniting us with our daughter. She was meant to be with us and we are thrilled we will be bringing her home soon!

Thank you Frontier Horizons. Thanks to you we hosted a wonderful teen from Ukraine and he is now our son. There are no words to thank you for the job you are doing to bring these amazing children and teens to America to get a glimpse of what life can be. We hosted another young man this summer and it was a wonderful gift to both him and us. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Frontier Horizons and meeting many more young people from Ukraine.

My wife and I have been involved with FH for over 5 years. We have done numerous fundraisers and we are on our way back to Nicaragua for our 5th time in a little less than a month. The group of people running this non profit are truly passionate about what they do. The mission of compassion is taught and executed. It's truly an honor to work so closely with a company that is so amazing. We feel comfortable in calling Nicaragua our second home and the employees of Frontier Horizon our extended family.

Frontier Horizons is a fantastic organization. My family has been involved with this organization for over 7 years. We have hosted numerous children from Ukraine and have adopted 4 children that we have meet through hosting. We are in the process of adopting our 5th child that we met through FH.
Vinny, the director, has a heart for the children and all of the staff is professional and wonderful to work with. Lives have literally been saved because of this organization. I can not say enough about the great work they do.

Frontier Horizon made it possible for us to meet a child we had only known through pictures and letters. I saw a picture of the then 12 year old girl that we sponsored. They made it possible for me to travel to visit her and her to stay with our family on 3 occasions. The opportunity bond with her made for an easy transition when we adopted her...and while adopting Vita, we adopted two other teen girls. The friendships that our family has forged with people from FH and affilliated with them are irreplacable. The care and compassion that is shown by Vinny and the staff is exemplary!

Frontier horizon is an incredible organization that has expanded my personal knowledge and awareness of third world countries. They do an excellent job of interacting college students with kids in the community and orphans in the community. The activities this organization does is rewarding because as a college student you are forming deep relationships with these individuals from a different background. I have been on this trip for two years in a row now and will continue to be a part of this incredible experience. Vinny and the staff do an incredible job of finding activities to do for the students and the kids and are very welcoming for first timers to the experience. FH does a great job of incorporating different areas of Nicaragua by traveling to many different areas. I am so grateful to have been able to have been able to go on this trip through this wonderful organization.

Frontier Horizion does a great job of taking college students to do mission work with orphans and under privledged kids. I am not sure which benefits more, the students or the kids, but I think both. Vinny and his staff do a great job and stay plugged in to these communities, orphanages, and kids lives. A passion for reaching into the lives of these kids, and way of building that passion in others. Great Organization!

The first time I found out about Frontier Horizon was when I was 9 years old living in an orphanage #4 in Odessa, Ukraine. Vincent Rocini was in charge of the program, well at least that's what we all thought at the time. He wasn't only trying to get as many kids adopted as possible but he was also helping us to have the necessary things in life like clothes and shoes. He is truly an amazing man! He did a greater impact than that. He has changed my life forever.
My situation was a little more difficult than other kids because I still had a birth mother who just got out of jail and wanted to make sure I wouldn't get adopted. She has not tried to be in my life and my dear grandmother was the one who actually raised me since I was a baby. That is why I didn't actually get adopted until I was 13 years old.
Vinny tried to help my situation and we became really good friends!
I finally got adopted at age 13 and I am still thankful to him for changing my life dramatically.
I am so glad to know there is such a great nonprofit organization that cares for children who's chances in becoming a successful adult are very limited. Today, I live a great life and have every opportunity in life I could ever imagine and it's all thanks to Frontier Horizon.
I want to thank them for everything they are doing and I myself plan to help them out next summer when they go to Ukraine to help kids like me!!!

Frontier Horizon is a great organization that introduced me to the Nicaragua trip. Vinny Rosini also lead my group and not only is he a great leader, he is an awesome man with a kind heart that everyone loves to be around! He loves to make people happy and I hope to be like him and do what he does one day. The Nicaragua trip was an awesome experience that changed my life and I will never forget it. It is hard for me to put into words how great it was because words do not do it justice. Going to OUTSTANDING resorts and hotels and playing with orphans is just the best way I could've picked to spend my spring break. It was such a rewarding experience seeing the kids so happy when we were giving them love and attention. I highly recommend FH for anyone who wants to go on a trip like this. I cannot wait to go back to Nicaragua with Vinny and others next year!

FH is an awesome non-profit. I started going to Nicaragua through Dr Vincent Rosini when i was 14 years old, now i am 23. The main reason i went was because of my brother. He had a passion for the country after going with a guy named Travis down to Central America. Travis originally went to Central America because Dr. Vinny Rosini, who is the master mind behind Frontier HOrizon and what it stands for. He has really created a ripple effect through various community groups, schools, and churches, and he is the primary reason that so many people have seen the depths of poverty in Central American areas. Once i got to college (at Auburn University), Vinny, my brother and I led a trip to Nicaragua every spring break, with our largest team consisting of 75 college students from SEC schools. FH allowed us to be independent and make many of the decisions regarding financial management, scheduling , and team dynamics. And at the same time, a group can go and choose to let Vinny make all the decisions, and it still runs so smoothly. I admire the heart and devotion behind FH, and the friendships that I have made though the people who work for FH.

Frontier Horizon Inc is an amazing charitable organization. My family and I have experience with them as both client and volunteer for over 5 years. As a client, we have had children stay with us in our home through their hosting program. The Frontier Horizon Director and staff have always been outstanding! They are professional, knowledgeable and caring. They answer any and all questions with patience and respect. Since hosting with the Frontier Horizon program, we have since adopted 3 of our 5 sons. It was while adopting our sons from their country of birth, Ukraine, that our admiration for the program has even increased. We were able to see first hand that their efforts go directly to the needs of the children. Orphanage Directors, social workers, teachers and especially the children have spoken in the highest regards about the program. My own children have said how happy they would be when the Frontier Horizon staff would come to their school. They treat the children with kindness, care and dignity. My family and I are forever grateful for Frontier Horizon Inc. In an effort to pay it forward, we have happily volunteered whenever needed and we will continue to do so. A very special, personal thanks to KT, Maggie and Vinny. You will never know how much your work is appreciated and how many lives you have changed forever. Thank you again

I am Tanya Bain. I was adopted with the help of this organization. When I was 10 years old it was the first time I met Vincent Rosini and his team. From the beginning I new he was such a great person to be caring for us orphans that no other cared for. I got to go on summer vacation and winter vacation when I was at the orphanage. One particular person that I staid with had wanted to adopt me. She was a single mom so the agency would not have it. I was as well in another family for the summer vacation and that family wanted to adopt me as well. We got it all straightened out and I was adopted in 2002. Since I got adopted it has not been easy but it sure is much more than anyone could ever give me in life. Vincent Rosini had opened up his heart and mind to help us be more than just orphans. He believes that everyone should have a family. He is such a great person and God Bless him for all the hard work that he does. I am not 24 years old, going to college, working a full time job. Life would probably not be this nice if I didn't get to have Frontier Horizon Inc in my life. I am so glad to know this organization and so proud of all the people that have gone through it and made it. God Bless Frontier Horizon and all the hard work they put out.

I grew up at the orphanage and I have known Dr. Vincent Rosini since I was 7 years old. Right now I am 24. Dr. Rosini visited us 3 times a year and it was the best time of our lives. Growing up at the orphanage we didnt have much. Vinny would take us shopping and buy us whatever we wanted and for an orphan not having anything at all it was amazing. He would also take us out to the nicest restaurants in town. When i was 13 years old I went to America for summer because Vinny chose me i had the best experience in my life. As I grew older I was a volunteer for his non-profit organization Frontier Horizon for a couple of years. I was his translator and I helped him transport the kids from one country to another. I had an amazing experience with this organization. It changed my life and many other orphans.

I know the president of frontier horizon since i was 6 years old, the organization changed my life in all the ways possible!. I became a translator for them when i was 14 years old. It allowed me to open my eyes to new opportunities and help other people.
I also have participated in the hosting program, it always amazes me how a great life changing experience this is for the kids, and also for the hosting families to have a foreign child join their family and give them a chance to see the world through a third world country child's perspective.
Another program i am really proud of is the christmas wish program. In developing countries is so difficult to get gifts for chrismas, so to be able to see the kids' faces when they open their gifts is just priceless!!!

it all started 2 1/2 years ago when during a bible study, God spoke to my heart about adoption after 10 years of infertility, miscarraiges, and failed IVF. I was 52 years old and over the "kid" thing, happy with my life and ecstatic about my book coming out. I had travel arrangements for the year booked for signings etc. But... God! I received a call about hosting a young boy fromUkraine, they were searching for a forever family for him. I did the unthinkable... I asked for a photo. That was the end of a long journey from no kids to 5 children adopted and in our home in 12 months!! They range from ages 2-11 at the time of the adoptions, 7 trrips to Ukraine, new "extended family" created through Dima, our facilitator who I will call "Hans" in book 2, but don't tell anyone, he's like my brother for sure, and Maggie, my "twin" sister, and all the others that work with them in Ukraine... directors, translators, even the SDA!!! You can't imaging how our lives have changed and I must say, HOSTING IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO FOR ADOPTION!!! Once the children are in your home for a tried 3 week to 2 month stay over Christmas or the summer, the love story begins, and God makes a way into YOUR heart and the hearts of these hurting lost children who so desperately need family. Yes love, but FAMILY which means- love, structure, boundaries, an international community support (frontier provides) and..... TIME!!!!! But what else do we have to do with our lives? When it's all said and done, what i want to hear when I meet Jesus is.... "Well done good and faithful servant" versus... "How many books did you sell?" !!!

The adventure of a lifetime awaits you my friends... and I mean lifetime! As my own NYC Italian parents of 7 children always say, "From the womb to the tomb" but i'll edit my line to read, "from the orphanage to the tomb" ! God bless those who make the decision to step up in any form, donations, adoption, hosting, and advocating for the hopeless and helpless children of the Ukraine through Frontier Horizon. You will NOT be disappointed.

Blessings,

I have been slow to write a review here, not because this organization does not deserve it, but because finding the right words to describe its contributions to me seems to be the bigger challenge. Just like many of the reviewers before me, I was first introduced to this organization through Vinny; I suppose at that time, I had no capacity to comprehend that Frontier Horizon was anything bigger than Vinny, but I was glad to learn that it is an organization full of many kindhearted people volunteering their time and resources to help us. As the time went on, multiple times during the year they would arrive to provide us with clothing, necessities, and a fun time. Later, with the help of just as kind families, Frontier Horizon began to take some kids to United States for a summer; I was lucky enough to have been chosen to go as one of the first groups. It was an experience unlike any I could have imagined, I fell in love with my host family, and they liked me enough to invite me back again for the winter holidays. The following Spring Frontier Horizon helped with the organization of adoption plans, and I was on my way to America for an adventure that would not have come along had it not been for Frontier Horizon. I am now getting ready to graduate in May from the University of Virginia, one of the nation's top public universities; as I reflect on the last couple of years, I cannot help but be grateful for the opportunity that I have been given as a result of the boundless generosity of Frontier Horizon and the many people involved with it. Thank you, - Alexander Owens.

Frontier Horizon is a great non-profit organization giving orphan children a chance they need to see that people do care and love them. It was through Frontier Horizon that I first met my son Alex over 4 years ago. I have seen the great work they have done in the orphanages, and how the children look forward to their visits. This is why I donate and volunteer my time to help them press forward with the great work they are doing.

My first memories of meeting people from Frontier date to my childhood, about 10 years ago. I remember just how happy I was, along with many other kids at my orphanage, to hang out with Frontier volunteers, plays games, and feel like somebody genuinely cared about us. These are just warm memories of the amazing Frontier people that dedicated so much of their time to us. But this is only a small (although very significant) part of what Frontier does. So many lives were changed due to the efforts of this organization: many, many children were given the opportunity to have a family. I will say that out of about 20 children in my class, more 3/4 were adopted before we graduated. And this is only in my class! They are the happy young adults today, who have a place where they belong, a place where they are loved. Frontier has given to many children (including some of my closest friends) the biggest gift a one could ever get: a family.

Volunteering with Frontier Horizon has been an amazing experience. The work FH is doing is literally changing the lives of children in Nicaragua and Ukraine, and it's life-changing as well for those of us who support and volunteer. I have gotten to ride on a bus with 70 kids from the garbage dump to the market where they got to pick out backpacks and school uniforms
Seeing how much joy something as simple as a backpack brought to these kids was humbling. There's nothing more rewarding than knowing you've made a difference in the life of a child and to be able to do this through an amazing organization like Frontier Horizon is amazing. I know I'll continue to be involved with Frontier Horizon for years to come.

I have served on 4 short term trips to Nicaragua with Frontier Horizon and have gotten to know Vinny Rosini very well over the years. Through his tireless work and determination to serve others he enabled our teams to reach out to the Nicaraguan community in ways no other organizations were daring enough to undertake. The real benefit of this organization is their long term commitment. Although i served on short term trips, we were just a small part in a much larger picture. Vinny continually works to maintain decade long relationships with people in the area. This is what makes Frontier Horizon effective in their work. Consistency is crucial in building the trust needed to allow people to accept life changing help. Vinny delivers year after year.

Hi , i just want to say Dr.Rosini and FRONTIER HORIZON have changed so many lives for better, have provide food for poor kids and adults, put a roof in their heads and help them to have a much better future with their programs they have. Besides this they really care about people emotionally , they wanna create a bond for life and provide the love people in need haven't gotten and deserve. I think this what makes FRONTIER HORIZON unique they don't just help financially to those in need but also provide them love.

I have great respect for Frontier Horizon and it's leader Vinny Rosini. We have hosted a child from the Ukraine via FH and can't say enough good things about how well it was handled. Hosting an orphan from another country can be a stressful and challenging endeavor but FH makes it much less so. They are organized well and very sensitive to the needs of the volunteers/hosting parents. One of the most important things during the hosting experience is access to the people at FH when a question comes up or when you need assistance. In every situation they have been immediately accessible and very willing to work with us to solve whatever the problem was at the time. Great organization!

Hello, my name is Сonstantine Tishinsky. I'm from Odessa, Ukraine. It was a great pleasure to me in 1998-2002 to take part and cooperate with NPO FRONTIER HORIZON INC under the leadership of Mr. Rosini. During this time I directly observed as life of many children in Ukraine have changed and improved to its best, giving to those unfortunate ones new chance in this life to become a person and most importantly to understand that there are people like Mr. Rosini and his team in this world who are kind and genuine. It is difficult to describe in several sentences what a significant contribution brought in this enterprise the NPO FRONTIER HORIZON INC.
Many abandoned children in Ukraine with huge gratitude respond about NPO FRONTIER HORIZON INC as well as look forward to see Mr. Rosini to once again be convinced in his sincerity, care and love for them, as well as fidelity to his word - if promised, by all means it will be done.

Frontier Horizon's volunteer programs in Nicaragua and the Ukraine radically impacted the way I view the world by allowing my family and I to serve in orphanages throughout these countries. The program exposed us to places of extreme poverty, like La Chureca, an enormous dump in Nicaragua where hundreds live in war zone-like conditions. Doctor Vincent Rosini's programs gave me an opportunity to build relationships with children by giving them meaningful experiences outside of their normal routine.

We used Dima Subotenko, a staff member of Frontier Horizon as our facilitator when we adopted our first daughter from Ukraine in 2004. Dima told us about Frontier Horizon's hosting program, so we subsequently decided to host and or sponsor many children since then. Hosting provides orphan children with the chance to become part of a family for 3-4 weeks during the Christmas season or the summer. They receive much needed love, attention, good nutrition, clothes, hygiene, medical/dental/ vision care and the chance of a lifetime to possibly find a family that will love them forever. At very least the plight of these children becomes personal to all who meet them when they are here and they can be helped in country to have a better future. Instead of just viewing a picture or a T.V screen, people meet the orphans and become sensitized to their desperate circumstances. At the age of 16 these children leave the orphanages with no housing, family, financial support, education or job prospects. Most end up in prostitution or criminal activities to survive. Some end up taking their lives in despair. Such a life of deprivation is difficult for most of us to imagine until you meet the children and hear their stories....What strikes you is that they are just like your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and you cannot conceive of them suffering in these ways. Those involved with Frontier Horizon have said it doesn't have to be this way and they have done something about it. God willing many will join them in their noble and courageous efforts to help those who cannot help themselves so that someday they in turn can help others.

My daughter and I have gone on two Ukraine mission trips sponsored through Frontier Horizon. Both trips went exceedingly well, with every detail thought out. Frontier Horizon took care of all the flights, hotels, in-country transportation, schedules, etc. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We learned so much about the country of Ukraine and the plight of the orphans there. It really changed our outlook of the world. We also hosted two Ukrainian boys during the summer of 2008 which also went very smoothly. We hope that we were able to give the boys a wider view of the world and a nice vacation and we KNOW that hosting them was one of the most rewarding things we have ever done.
