Mission: Friends of the Verde River works collaboratively for a healthy, flowing Verde River system.
Target demographics: keep the Verde River healthy and flowing
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 2000 acres of land restored, 157 5th graders taken on nature field trips, 350 people who went birding.
Geographic areas served: the Verde River watershed, from northern Arizona to Phoenix
Programs: we restore riverside and upland habitat, encourage people to be River Friendly, and promote community stewardship through events like the Verde Valley Birding & Nature Festival
