Mission: Friends of the sharon art studio's mission is to provide financial and operational support to the sharon art studio; a community art center owned and maintained by the san francisco recreation and parks department.
Programs: Completed the transition of members/studio student to using new active net system with sfrpd for on-line activity registration and membership processes - enhancing autonomy and customer service-almost 900 class/activity registrations occurred at sharon art studio from august 2016-june 2017 through new system. Increased e-newsletter communication for studio community,enhanced website components for program. Provided new education and social events for members and general public, including october 2016 haunted hallow event, town hall meeting in january 2017 and several local events with restaurants. Improved expense forecasting, implementing new hourly payout model for fosas contractual employee. Increased board representation and diversityadded new programming components/classes to the studio curriculum
