Programs: The "friends" provide the focal point and venue for the community based public service of the rose garden mission. During the 2017 year, the "friends" furnished the buildings that were necessary to fulfill the "mission and "daughters" goals of serving the poor. The "friends" paid for extermination, office supplies, utilities, mortgage payments, waste collection and repairs. Total expenses paid by the "friends" were $126,878. Providing this venue allowed the franciscan daughters to provide material and spiritual support to pregnant women, needy families, the homeless, handicapped and the elderly. 47,550 visits were made by the needy in 2017. Free food, diapers, baby formula, clothes, furniture and toilet articles are given away free of charge based on contributions received. Spiritual guidance and parenting classes are given when requested. Friendship is provided to all who come to the mission.
