Nonprofit Overview

Mission: Our mission is to present the finest works of the classical repertoire in opera, music, theatre and dance to audiences in the sierra foothills of northern california

Programs: Music: apollo arts produced a new years eve ball with classical music and period dance entertainment. During the year we produced two concerts with the renowned ajax quartet and an additional concert with the world famous pianist alexander korsantia. Each concert was presented on two consecutive evenings. These events were very well attended with approximately 180 people at each event, each evening. In september on our theatron stage we produced beethovens 9th symphony, directed by the conductor daniel canosa with 300 attendees. Additionally throughout the year we produced 2 additional performances of classical music including a violin recital with the renowned emil chudnovsky and an opera evening with a baritone, tenor and soprano, titled love is in the air.

theatre: apollo arts produced the performance of through the looking glass, an original production of music and theater, popular with both children and adults. Additionally a unique production of molieres life was performed at a local residence with great success.

development: apollo arts hosted a number of events that represented all disciplines. These included dinners with classical entertainment at our galleria facility.

cinema: during the summer ballet festival we produced two movie evenings on the large screen at the theatron. Romeo and juliette and the magic flute were offered and well attended.

ballet: apollo arts produced a summer ballet festival which included 28 of the worlds most promising young ballet dancers and 6 professional dancers of which 3 were from the bolshoi ballet. It was performed on our outdoor theatron stage, with an audience of more than 400 people per night. Volunteers assisted with the production in the capacity of lighting, staging, costumes, and sound.
