I love this organization- I get so much joy knowing the the homeless animals of our neighborhood are being cared for- I am thankful for all the volunteers especially kimmi she is just a blessing the way she jumped out in front of that car to save that three legged dog- it’s amazing to see the love these people share for animals

Mission: The Chico Animal Shelter is the municipal (city-run) animal shelter serving the city of Chico. All of the employee and building costs are paid for by the city of Chico, as well as basic animal care - food, basic supplies, and the like. However, there is no funding available for veterinary care including emergencies, spay/neuter surgeries, and other medical care. Friends of the Chico Animal Shelter exists to help the Chico Animal Shelter in any way possible. They work so hard providing care to the saddest animals in town - we want to help them help the animals!
