Mission: The mission of the organization
Programs: Fobsd supported the school by paying salaries for their growing staff for the year and providing funds to supplement food supplies for the children, and transportation and repair costs for the school. Additional funds supported tutors who added to the education of older students participating in continuing education in the public sector, for example, in a teacher preparation program. Most notably, fobsd hired a deaf phd consultant, a specialist in deaf education, to travel to bsd and focus for three months on enhancing the skills of its teachers. Funds were also spent to reconfigure part of the school's property as a proper soccer field to enhance after-school activities.
