Mission: Supports belmont public library
Programs: The friends of the belmont public library is dedicated to supporting, enhancing and promoting library programs, services and materials. The friends consist of individuals and families who have funded, through their donations, discount passes to local museums, the author lecture series, concerts on saturday, the bugle library newsletter, technological enhancements and the semi-annual one book one belmont community reads. In in conjunction with the belmont garden club, fobpl produced and hosted books in bloom a fund and friend raiser. In addition to this support, in 2010/2011 the friends specifically gave funds to buy mouse pads for the computers in the library, children's reading program incentives, and underwrote staff appreciation and development.
