Mission: The organization is organized for the purpose of providing learning experiences, education, promotion and appreciation of the arts. The organization supports the children and adult art educaiton programs and outreach programs for the orange beach (alabama) arts center throught volunteer and fund-raising activities.
Programs: The hot spot: opened in september, 2009, the hot shop is the only public access glass studio in the state of alabama supporting a resident artist. Workshops and filed trips are available for all ages. In 2009, 469 people participated in workshops and 430 people participated in field trips. 12,374 was spent on building renovation and resident artist labor.
visiting artists and special exhibits series expanded the exposure of national and regional artists to the alabama gulf coast area. Ten different exhibits attracting 16 new artists were held with thousands of residents viewing the artwork. Many artists sold their work during these exhibits.
