SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!! It’s unsanitary, unhealthy, does not care about animals, does not socialize with them on the daily, extremely dishonest, denies many qualified adoption application, and thinks a pet can actually be happy in a shelter. Makes me SICK to my stomach. These poor animals deserve a LOVING family. A qualified shelter is one that strives to find good homes for EVERY animal. Leaving a animal in a kennel intentionally, not a bed nor the roof their “family” lives under, should never OWN or attempt to CARE for a pet. You will be reported and you will rethink of what purpose you are trying to harness here because your purpose right now is harming these animals and many potential adoptive families.
They have started and AWESOME mostly volunteer-run resale shop and have even purchased their own building...due to their great success in funding their animal shelter.

Friends Of Strays, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that operates as a no-kill animal shelter in Princeton, Illinois. Founded in 1994 by a small group of dedicated volunteers who love animals, Friends of Strays Animal Shelter provides rescue, rehabilitation, shelter and adoption services for more than a thousand abandoned, neglected or abused animals annually, primarily dogs and cats. Friends of Strays also works with local veterinarians and animal control to curb the unnecessary killing of adoptable pets by taking those scheduled to be euthanized and caring for them until a new home can be found.
Friends of Strays is a great animal shelter that offers a home for many fabulous cats and dogs. Their volunteers work hard to bring a safe and happy environment to many pets until they find their forever home.
