Programs: See schedule o provide educational experiences of florida's environmental and historical sciences dealing with native coastal and marine environments, as well as promote conservation of our natural resources, beaches and plant life. We operate a nature center that is open six days a week. We had over 15,000 visitors come through the center and learn about conservation, shark behavior and characteristics, and habitat destruction. We had 200 people attend both our fall and spring annual beach cleans-ups that helped remove over 1,000 pounds of garbage from our local beaches. The center has displays and aquariums intended for guests of all ages including newly built exhibits displaying an alligator, owl, frog and touch tank with different species of invertebrates. All of these animals are used for educational classes and gives visitors a chance for an interactive experience.
group educational programs are offered throughout the year including our shark adventure and coral reef education, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, sea turtles and touch tank classes. 1,542 students visited from local schools and camps looking to explore southeastern florida's native natural habitat. Over 5,724 visitors attended our daily educational shark feeding which teaches the importance of conserving our oceans top predator.
