I knew very little about FONP prior to the charity of choice program through Catholic Health System. The organization is well run in all aspects of feeding the less fortunate, distribution of food to those in need and providing other essential service in the Allentown Community. I was honored to assist not only in organizing Mercy Hospital Volunteers but in participating in food service and helping in the pantry. Buffalo is blessed by the leadership role that FONP takes in the community. Kudos to this fine organization.

My family and I volunteer at Friends of Night People Inc. It is the kind of place where people are welcomed and treated with dignity. There are so many services that are provided healthcare both mental and physical, and dental care. Everyone who comes is fed and clothing is availability. The food is prepared with such love and dished out with care. The workers all are compassionate giving people. There is this basic feeling that everyone who comes in is treated like a "friend" coming for a meal, that needed some help today.

I truly don't know how Friends of Night People keeps up with all of the work they do. They are a great resource for those in need, providing food and clothing, along with other skills. I have seen first hand how much the clients appreciate the help and enjoy the delicious meals they receive.

Friends of Night People has helped the needy of Buffalo, New York for over 45 years. This organization receives no government subsidy and therefore relies on donations to continue the wonderful work they do. I have had the privilege to volunteer at Friends for well over 20 years and plan to continue as long as I am able. Joseph Heary, the Executive Director at Friends has taken the organization to an even higher level since he took over. They have always served a wonderful meal 365 days of the year but now have expanded to include a clothing room, a pantry, myriad medical services and providing food for at least three off site organizations. Friends of Night People deserves all the support they can receive.

More than a meal, this organization provides clothing, referrals to appropriate social and health agencies and 12-step meetings. It enjoys both professional leadership and a large group of committed volunteers. The facility is clean, bright and welcoming to individuals and families with children who have their own dining area. What's more, everyone is treated with respect, dignity and genuine friendlinesss.

I have seen story after story about lives that this agency have changed. They ask no question and help people with food, clothing housing and medical services. I also know they are efficient with donations.

FONP does a great job of serving the poorest of the poor. In addition to a hot meal every single day they have a dental clinic as well as AA meetings. In their facility that collect second hand clothes and give them away. It is well run. A place where I enjoy volunteering.

Friends of Night People is a wonderful organization that greatly assists the community. Every day, individuals in need can get a meal, clothing, personal care items. Volunteering is amazing. You get to speak to individuals one-on-one and even giving them a smile means a lot. When I leave, I feel a sense of accomplishment and have a sense of purpose. The clients are extremely grateful for everything provided to them. It is a grounding experience. I highly recommend volunteering with them. They also have a 5K in the spring, that is a blast to participate in.
