I have been a sponsor of a few students over the past 15 years and impressed on the impact they have had on these students. The program , through my sponsorship, not only supports them through funding their education, Friends of Ngong Road provides extensive training and support to help students be successful in their studies and in landing employment

But it isn't just about writing a check. I have a unique 1-1 relationship with my sponsored students where I can learn more about them, their family and their culture all while encouraging them to succeed. It is very gratifying.

The opportunity to sponsor a child’s tuition in the Ngong Road slum her uniforms, meals, a Saturday program and summer camp for $100 a month?! Life changing for me and the students I sponsor. Spectacularly & uniquely well run organization.

I first came into contact with Friends of Ngong Road when I was a student studying abroad in Kenya. I volunteered at their Saturday program where I read books and assisted with the meal. Six years later I joined as development staff. The business acumen, strategy, and care for the students are top-notch.
