Mission: Improve health care in naivasha, keyna by assisting in the building and operating of a 56-bed women's health care facility containing gynecological, obstetrical and neonatal units. The hospital provides care for approximately 300,000 kenyans within a 50-mile area around naivasha. Due to overcrowded conditions, patients often had to share beds. The maternity unit delivers an average of 15 babies a day.

friends of naivasha women's center is now delivering 600 babies per month and has 100 adult beds and 40 neonatal beds. The government is now running the facility and friends of naivasha is focusing on educational programs for the nurses there as well as the nurses at the larger nakuru county referral hospital (ncrh).
friend of naivasha hospital assists in offering programs through the america academy of pediatrics for helping babies breathe to teach nurses resuscitation techniques in the first golden minute of life. This was implemented through a rotary grant in 2017, the first year of implementation in naivasha showed a 50% reduction in infant deaths from asphyxia which is the leading cause of death for newborns. In 2017 that program was expanded to ncrh and the outlying community of the 13 outlying health facilities. This program was done to assure early referral and to initiate early interventions to assure best outcomes for babies.
