Mission: Our mission, "Advocacy through participation in Stewardship, Education and Outreach in the Mount Evans & Lost Creek Wildernesses". The Mount Evans and Lost Creek Wildernesses has only one designated Wilderness Ranger and no seasonal rangers to manage nearly 195,000 acres of wilderness and trails. As a result, these wildernesses suffer from unmanaged recreational use, trail degradation, invasive weed infestation and lack of understanding of wilderness ethics and regulations. Our established and unified volunteer workforce assists the Forest Service in all aspects of wilderness stewardship including education, monitoring, training, research, on-the-ground trail maintenance, required registration, air quality and signing.
