Mission: Friends of Cheyenne Canon is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the natural, scenic, and historic resources of North Cheyenne Canon park.
Results: We are one of the oldest Friends groups in the city parks system. We have managed to fulfill or mission by increasing active members and volunteers from throughout the commuity. We deliver on our projects and programs each year.
Target demographics: Preservation of our environment
Direct beneficiaries per year: We provide approximately 500,000 Colorado Springs residents and visitors with access to nature's many gifts. North Cheyenne Canon's 1,600 acres also provide habitat to wildlife such as the Black Bear, Mule Deer, and Broad-tailed Hummingbird.
