Mission: The purpose of the friends is to promote the welfare of all bassett healthcare network members. Bassett healthcare network (bhn) is the sole member of the mary imogene bassett hospital, bassett regional corporation (brc),aurelia osborn fox memorial hospital society, and templeton foundation. Brc is the sole member of 5 healthcare entities.
Programs: In 2016, the friends of bassett solicited contributions (for the mary imogene bassett hospital, bassett hospital of schoharie county, o'connor hospital, little falls hospital, tri town regional healthcare, valley health services, ao fox hospital, and templeton foundation) of more than 1. 8m in new revenue for the members of bassett healthcare network and bassett regional corporation; the total was made up of the following categories: 1) approximately 1,270,000 was in unrestricted income to support operations of the organizations for which the friends raise funds 2) approximately 121,000 to support building expansion and renovation programs 3) approximately 42,000 to support medical staff education and partnerships 4) approximately 15,000 to support heart care and cardiac rehab initiatives 5) approximately 21,000 to support school based health centers 6) approximately 40,000 to support cancer care 7) approximately 112,000 to support nycamh tractor and farm safety 8) approximately 21,000 to support nursing programs 9) approximately 175,000 for a variety of other purposes as designated by the donors
