Causes: Environment

Mission: To preserve, protect and enhance the natural features of barefoot beach preserve in collier county, florida.

Programs: Creation and maintenance of learning center: a tiki hut facility created to hold lectures and display diverse wildlife that benefits the community.

lecture series: experts are presented to educate adults and children on a variety of wildlife and the importance of preservation of nature. Every saturday about forty to fifty adults attend a lecture series. Nearly forty children are provided transportation for each lecture, as well as a tour of the park with the ranger. These lectures enhace the awareness of preservation of the environment and nature, and benefits the community.

butterfly garden: a garden constructed, planted, and maintained with mostly native plant materials that attract butterflies of many species. Each spring, following a lecture on butterflies, additional specimens are released in a spectacular display.
