I adopted two beautiful sister kittens from Tabby Town a couple of days ago and they are the sweetest kittens ever and were so well cared for by the foster and Tabby Town staff. Cheryl the owner is so sweet and helpful and so very generous. I’m thankful this caring and compassionate organization exists! I couldn’t be happier!
I love volunteering here every one is so nice and it's clear we all care a lot about the cats. Everyone works hard to make sure the cats are happy, healthy, and going to an incredible home.
I have volunteered at Tabby Town for a little over 2 years now and have nothing but good things to say. Not only is everyone so kind and welcoming, but everyone tries their best to help out every cat we can. About a year ago they graciously took in a kitten immediately after being found with injuries from being thrown out of a vehicle. After weeks of constant amazing care, she ended up healing great and actually has an amazing home with me now! 10/10 recommendation!
My mom adopted her cat from Tabby Town 4 years ago after my dad passed away. To help ease the loneliness she thought about getting a pet. We were told about Tabby Town by a volunteer, Diana. We brought my mom there and we're amazed at this wonderful place. The care all of the cats and kittens get is incredible and the people working there are awesome. My mom found a young cat, Honey, formerly known as Kiki, and went home together that same day and have had a special bond ever since. Thank you Tabby Town. ❤️
I adopted a 4 year old female tortie in November of 2015 named Cocoa Bean. She was in their shy space, but immediately came to me and my father. She unfortunately had to have dental work done, but they covered the work so we could adopt her. Dulce as she is known now, because she is so sweet, has become attached to my father. Everyone was so welcoming and helped us find the right cat for our family at the time, since we already had a rescue cat in the household.
I have volunteered at TabbyTown since they opened there doors 15 years ago. We are always there to help a feline in need, when space is available. Felines are well taken care of, cozy condos for them to wait for there furever homes, and lots of free roam time also. I also adopted 3 wonderful cats , all that were special needs, and I love them to death.
I have 2 amazing girls from Tabby Town - Cat Adoption Center thumbalina and mazakeen. These girls are my babies and my world. Im so blessed that tabby town blessed our home with these amazing souls. They have such amazing personalities and bring so much love and joy to our home❤
These folks are the very best. A no kill haven for cats who rely solely on donations. They have taken in lost, abandoned, injured and special needs cats and kittens. They have vets who volunteer to spay, neuter and assist injured cats. I have never seen people work so incredibly hard to get every cat or kitten the care they need or to obtain their forever homes. They also have a foster care network of volunteers for newborn and abandoned kittens/cats that is second to none. They give these cats every opportunity to be adopted. I have a cat from these folks who is loving and quirky and is part of our family. Great bunch of people, i cannot say enough!!
Tabby Town was able to help rehome a sweet stray who was not as adored by my two cats. Dropping her off with Tabby Town was so sad for me, but she had her own space and I was confident she was in good hands. I was so relieved to see she was adopted in only a few weeks. I’m so thankful that they were able to take her in and get her adopted into her forever home so quickly!
They will definitely be my go to adoption center for when my home is ready for a new kitty friend and I always recommend them to anyone looking.
Tabby Town is a great place. My husband took me there 5 years ago. Since then I’ve been going there regularly.
Some kitties walk around freely and greet you, some sleep in their rooms. Some cages have notes on them saying stuff like “he likes his food warm” !!!
I just love this place because I know all these ladies love animals and what they do so much.
I adopted my 3rd cat from them, the process was so smooth. Also I just caught 4 stray kitties and they accepted them the next day even though they were extremely full.
They even showed me where they’ll stay, told me when the vet will see them…
I’m so thankful.
A few years ago my husband found a little kitten, as small as my hand. We stayed up all night taking care of her and made many phone calls to our local shelters. Many shelters refused to take her as there are already so many kitties in need of help. We were exhausted and sad. We called Tabby Town, and within the hour we were dropping off that little kitten into well entrusted hands. She was adopted shortly after. This is the best rescue around and the people are so devoted and passionate, I can’t thank them enough for the heroic work they do.
We have adopted 3 kittens from here. We have always had an amazing experience and absolutely love the volunteers and workers. Our son loves visiting the kitten store and asks to go every week to pet kittens. We've also used them as a resource for numerous people who have found abandoned cats and kittens.
I adopted an 8 year old bonded pair from Tabby Town 4 years ago. They are amazing cats!! My cat’s previous owner moved and left them in an apartment. It took two weeks before someone realized what happened and to save them. Tabby Town took them in and my husband and I gave them a great second chance at life! Thank you again for all that you do and saving their life!
I've volunteered at Tabby Town on and off over the years, however, during the past two years I've solidified this experience. This organization to top notch. A very inviting environment, the founder is a very caring individual and the team of volunteers care very much about all the cats and their work environment. It is a truly rewarding experience to be part of this team.
P.S. I have two rescues from Tabby Town too. They are my family.
My experience with Friends for Felines has been great. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has an interest in cats, whether it’s to volunteer or to adopt.
I have volunteered with cats at two other places before coming here. This by far is the best place. The cats are not in small kennels, but in large dog crates, condos, rooms and some are even free roaming. The ones in crates and condos are let out to free roam at different times when volunteers are there working. It is so nice to see cats not cooped up.
Everyone there cares about the well being of the cats and treat each one like their own. They are all well taken care of and loved.
The adoption process is not rushed. People are encouraged to spend time with the cats so that they adopt the right one. Some even come to visit more than once to make sure it’s the right fit.
I think it’s great atmosphere for the people who volunteer and for the people who come to look to adopt.
I began volunteering with Tabby Town about eight years ago. I had been a guardian to many cats, but didn’t have any experience working in rescue. The other volunteers were very friendly and patient with me as I had a lot to learn! What really stood out to me was the genuine love given to all of our cats. Some of these cats come from tough situations weather they were starving strays or had been mistreated somehow. The volunteers at Tabby Town couldn’t come from more different backgrounds, but what we all have in common is our fierce love for these kitties entrusted to our care. I have personally witnessed countless transformations of scared, hurt cats becoming purring love bugs ready to be placed in an adoptive family. Every time I would think “this cat won’t make it” the care, endless compassion and love of the Tabby Town volunteers would pull another one through it all. Giving so many cats another chance to live a great life! Tabby Town literally saves these cats lives. I’m proud to be associated with such great people, who, under our founders leadership can be our best rescue selves. I know that as long as there are cats needing to be adopted Tabby Town will always step up and help in any way we can.
Tabby Town has the most caring volunteers and they are always there to help when you adopt from them in any way. They go out of there way to make sure that the animals are taken care of and all of there needs are met. I highly recommend this place to any one that is looking to adopt a cat or kitten.
Chippy was the store cat. He spent two years without being adopted. He has stomatitis and it frightened off potential adopters. He was lovingly cared for by the staff of volunteers who loved him so much. He learned how to run the register and greet people who came into the adoption center. But two years is too long for a young cat not to see the outdoors and have a family of his own. So we brought him home, healthy and happy. He spends his days in the cat tree in front of the window "hunting" birds and squirrels, and his evenings chasing bugs on the glass. He has plenty of car siblings who he gets along with perfectly. Chippy is a part of our family now. Thanks to Tabbytown who never gave up on him and taught him trust and gave him love.
As a volunteer there , I can truly say this is one of the most caring rescue teams out there! Genuinely care about the well being of the animals and the families associated! So grateful to be part of this team! ❤️
I had a very good experience with them. I adopted three kittens a few years ago and they are all doing well. The staff were excellent and the adoption price was quite fair.
Assisted us twice when people moved and dumped their house cats on our street. Lovely people who genuinely care for animals.
I adopted Mona, a black kitty, who was a little shy and needed help with socializing 4 years ago. The folks at Tabby Town (andher former shelter, Heart) were so afraid she would not be adopted. They followed up with me on how well she was doing over the first year. The set me up with a Vet with all her records. They were absolutely ecstatic that she found a new home! After 4 years, Mona is doing great! Tabby Town made it really easy for me and Mona. They truly care about cats! God bless them. Mona is doing great. That’s her new roommate Suki on the left!
Tabby Town is a valuable resource for area rescues and plays an important role in public outreach, education, and access to animals in need. I have no doubt that because of their efforts, hundreds of cats' lives have been saved, and hundreds of human lives have been enriched!
There are SO many heart-warming stories out of TabbyTown It’s difficult to choose just one! The adorable siblings posted here were born last year and lost their mom at birth. They were hand-raised (along with three other siblings) by a dedicated volunteer who early on had to provide around-the-clock feedings. Due to her dedication, they all grew up healthy and strong and were placed as soon as they were neuter/spayed. This pair (Lizzy and Bernie) live in a home of three adults and are the center of that family’s world! Wonderful work, TabbyTown ❤️
I have volunteered with Friends for Felines, Inc./Tabby Town for several years; I call it my "spiritual recharge" because every hour that I spend there illustrates the amazing work that Cheryl and her team accomplish every day to improve the lives of all the cats and kittens who spend time at their "home between homes".
Tabby Town really has positively changed the lives of so many humans, too! To date, they have completed almost 6,000 adoptions...that's incredible. Adoptive parents often visit and write to us, send photos of the cats they adopted from our organization and shower us with compliments and gratitude. It's truly overwhelming to receive so much support from the community to know that this work truly does make a difference.
