Wonderful place to adopt from. They are thorough without being rude. Healthy dog. Great people. Adopt don't shop.
My old dog had passed away and we were looking for a new family member. We explained what we were looking for and we were introduced to Eddy. He was quirky and so fun that we fell instantly in love. He had never lived in a home and was fearful but this rescue put us in touch with a trainer that helped us understand him. We could not love him more and he is so happy!
I can't say enough good things about the Fresno Bully Rescue. They are so great with their dogs, their facility, and placing the pups in good homes. I am a 2 time FBR adopter and will continue to adopt from them in the future. They provide this community such a great service by raising awareness for the breed. Please consider then when looking for your next family member.
I am a 2 time adopter from Fresno Bully Rescue. I adopted my "sweet Scud" who was the best dog I have owned. He was so special to me and my family. Sadly I lost him to an aggressive cancer far to soon. I also adopted my sweet Miss Elly from FBR. they were always helpful, informative, and great to help with any questions or concerns. I can tell how much they LOVE their dogs and help with community education. They have an amazing facility and the staff are a real joy. I just LOVE them. They are great
Adopted 2 dogs from FBR. Amazing experience both times. The personal care of each animal and the adoption process ensure they are going to a good home.
We are so happy with our pitty, Izzy, she is the best. She has everything she wants is spoiled rotten, loves everyone she meets, but loves her mommy, grandma and grandpa very much. She was shy when she came home, did not know what to think, now she knows this is her home and she is loved. Thank you Fresno Bully for matching us up.
We love Fresno Bully Rescue! We have been donating supplies and participating in their events for a while now. In June our beloved American Bulldog passed away. When we were ready for a new family member we knew we wanted to adopt from FBR. I filled out the application and it didn't take long at all for the adoption coordinator to contact us. After asking what we were looking for in a pet she made some suggestions. We went that weekend and were greeted right away. That day we fell in love with Isabella. She was as amazing as they had said she was. We are so happy to have her as part of our family. FBR does an amazing job in matching dogs to their new families. Thank you FBR for all you do for the breed and the community.
I love pit bulls, I have two at home...And had another one before these. I am a volunteer because i want to help and do my part to give them as much positive interaction. I try and volunteer at least once a month. I love the rescue so organized and clean. I just wish I could do more.
My husband and I lost our 12-year-old senior Labrador mix, Libby, to Cancer early this year and immediately started looking into rescues to find a companion for our Chocolate Lab, Belle. My husband and I had been responsible pet owners long before meeting and my husband had Belle and Libby their entire lives. We really thought we would have a fairly easy time finding a dog to rescue, but we actively filled out adoption applications with different rescues with little to no response for three months before deciding to pay Fresno Bully Rescue a visit after some Instagram posts caught our attention. They make meeting the dogs so easy! The staff and the volunteers are very knowledgeable, steering us towards the dogs that would be a good fit for our lifestyle AND our senior lab. It didn't take long for us to fall in love and just a few short days later, we brought home our sweet boy, Beau (formally known as Romeo). We couldn't be happier with our decision and the service and knowledge of Fresno Bully Rescue.
When my daughter was little I wanted to teach her about volunteering and charity work. We chose FBR because of the wonderful work that they do. We continue to donate monthly and are proud to share our home with a former FBR bully.
I began volunteering at Fresno Bully Rescue in 2015. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The dedication of the staff and volunteers has truly inspired me. Their love truly shows in the care each dog receives.
I have moved away, and because of the passion FBR has ignited in me, I regularly volunteer at a shelter in Northern California.
Lastly, FBR has a senior resident who I intend to adopt when I finish school. It is amazing to know that in the meantime he will be loved by everyone there.
We adopted a dog from them several years ago. Lily. She is so good with my kids! Fresno Bully rescue worked with us to ensure our other dog would get along with Lily. Set up a play day, and allowed us to do a sleep over with Lily and our other dog. They want to make sure the adoption works for everyone!
I adopted Lily from them a few years back and my experience with them was amazing! I had a dog already and they had me bring him in and get a meet and greet just make sure that the dog would get along with Lily. then I did the trial at my house to make sure they work before we finalized it. They really went out of their way to make sure that Lily was a good match for my family and I.
So great in every way, we have a loved pet they saved. We have nothing but nice things to say about how they help .
I have volunteered at FBR for 2 1/2 years. I love it. I am Elite volunteer so I work closely with the dogs. I am also able to foster when I can. The new facility in Sanger is amazing. The dogs get exercise and a lot of love. They have done a lot to bring awareness to the breed and help people understand that it isn’t the dogs it is the owners. I ha e adopted 2 Bully’s from FBR. Amazing animals
FBR helps so many dogs and people in an area that is so underserved. We have our rescue dog , Lola, and she loves going to events put on by FBR. This organization is so well run, I just can’t say enough!
I'm a medical Foster and have many happy endings, but I'll share the story of Mojo today. He was 8 wks and came malnourished from a backyard breeder who brought him for euthanasia. The Vet explained that proper nutrition could correct his defect, but they didn't care. The Vet saved him and called FBR, and I started working w/ his Carpus Valgus. He was so cute in his little cast that came off quickly he progressed so well! Before long he was adopted by a beautiful family w/ another FBR pup and I get to see pics of him on FB! He's gorgeous. I can't say enough about the integrity of this organization and all they do for this underserved breed.
I am very grateful to this organization for the haven they provide for the wrongly maligned pitbull breed. The staff take the dogs out into the community providing education about the breed and the opportunity to show the public the breed's loyalty and adoptability. We adopted our ZELDA from them 7 years ago. It was the BEST decision we made. She was the heart of our family and household. She died 2 months ago and when we're ready, we will be adopting from FBR again!! She loved her blankie!!
Zelda (aka Casper, at FBR)was adopted from FBR about 6 years ago. The process was thorough but easy. They do a WONDERFUL job finding out all the history they can regarding their "adopta-bulls". FBR is a loving, caring and safe environment for the Bullies. We can't imagine our lives without Zelda!! Thank you FBR!!
The facility at Fresno Bully Rescue was very nice. Everyone one there was extremely helpful, volunteers and staff. I would suggest anyone that is looking for a furbabie go out and check them out!
I spotted Rebel as a pup tied to a tree down from my house. I would pass him daily to check in on him seeing him lonely and hungry . He just wanted to play! Completely broke my heart but I knew this guy was a must have so I was adamant on making sur he got a chance to live and be a happy pup. Months have gone by and I notice the owner had vacated the property leaving sweet rebel. I finally run in to her and I tell her I can keep him in my yard so he can run free also I would like to put in effort to help this terrible infection he has i his body. She then moves out of her place and never calls, or comes back for her Precious Rebel. So I then set out to help this adorable guy get his painful blisters healed, get checked for heartworms, get him fixed in hopes of finding the lucky family that gets to fall in love with this sweet pup!! Please anything you would like to donate you can send direct to :The Animal House- Attn: Linda 205-672-3550 Harpersville, Al. We just had his first treatment for dermadex (a painful mites), next first shots/ heart worm check then medication, finally getting him fixed to prepare for his family, whom ever that maybe. My name is Mandi Macon proud mom of 4 other precious pups!! Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story!
Bridgette and the staff at the bully rescue center are all about the animals! We have rescued 2 dogs from here and I will only go this route moving forward. I highly recommend saving a dog vs going thru a breeder.
The volunteers at FBR work tirelessly to educate people on bully breeds, rehabilitate, and find these loving pups a forever home! They do home inspections, meet & greets and follow ups to ensure a good fit for both the dogs and the family. Great effort in outreach and education as well!
