Freedom Reigns Ranch has been an incredible ministry and blessing for our family. Our daughter has thrived through relationships with peers, volunteers, staff, and the animals at Freedom Reigns. She has gained a lot of confidence through her growing horse knowledge and horse care. She started as a Junior Rancher and we always look forward to hearing about the fun that she has at sessions, as well as the important lessons she learns. She has become a volunteer so that she can give back to a ministry that has meant so much to her! Freedom Reigns Ranch is a non-profit that is run with professionalism as well as compassion. They are not only having an impact on young people's lives, they are also invested in the community by offering education and bringing joy to community events. I cannot say enough how much I admire how this non-profit is run. We will forever be grateful for all of the amazing things that Freedom Reigns has done in our lives and the lives of so many others!

Freedom Reigns Ranch has pretty much changed my life. Everyone there is amazing, kind, and welcoming; and most importantly, have a strong faith that can be seen in everything they do. The opportunity to work and ride horses is a dream come true, but the best part is, I get to serve others and help others through these amazing animals. It is my happy place, a home away from home, and I can not wait to see what happens next!

Finding a place that truly serves kids from hard places, is difficult these days. The amount of time and energy it takes to pour into a population that has nothing in to give in return, is daunting for most. Freedom Reigns Ranch walks alongside kids in a way that is unprecedented. They love, support, teach, help and guide our youth through difficult chapters of life and care for every being, human and animal alike, with such integrity. I am so grateful to have this program in our area so that we can bring our foster kids to a place where we know they will leave happier, have a greater sense of felt safety, and be excited to return. There is no greater gift than to give a child who feels hopeless, something to look forward to. This is what Freedom Reigns does.
I got involved with Freedom Reigns Ranch because a couple of friends told me about it. I decided to sign up for Junior Ranchers, and that's how I learned that they offered volunteering opportunities. After a while, I signed up for that, too. I am now an active junior volunteer, and I help with horse care. Freedom Reigns is amazing because of how much they care for the horses and the people there. I have never come back from the ranch disappointed or empty. The work there is meaningful, and I think it's amazing that they do it all free of charge, and that it's open to anyone. I highly recommend Freedom Reigns Ranch!
Our family has walked through a lot of trauma being a foster family and Freedom Reigns has helped our middle daughter cope and heal in insurmountable ways. We are so thankful for Freedom Reigns and what they are doing to impact the lives of so many people!
In a world that is cruel and unkind to teenagers struggling with so many issues, my daughter says, "I feel comfortable at Freedom Reigns Ranch. I don't feel like anyone is judging me." The Ranch has a zero tolerance policy for gossip, slander, cliques and unkindness in any form which makes this a safe place for everyone. If your child needs respite from the storms of life, healing, or a place to just "be", bring them to Freedom Reigns Ranch to experience this for themselves.
We have been with Freedom Reigns for 3 seasons now. Sessions have been amazing for our son as he has improved his confidence, focus and ability to take direction. His mentor has been incredible and patient with him and became a great friend to talk to. Freedom Reigns goes above and beyond for participants and horses.
Freedom Reigns Ranch has been an incredible experience for our family. My son looks forward to every session and is excited to share the things he is learning. The guides/counselors are kind, genuine, empowering, and so patient with the kiddos. It’s been wonderful to watch our son grow in empathy, patience, and trust.
My wife and I found out about this ministry through a volunteer work day and by the end of the day we knew that we needed to volunteer here. My wife applied and started training and I followed later. Every time we are at the ranch, whether working in sessions, horse care or just ranch work days, you always come away fulfilled. Seeing how the participants are impacted by the horses and sessions is a true blessing.
I have been blessed to volunteer with Freedom Reigns for 4 years. It is truly a safe haven of peace, love and healing for everyone that comes to the ranch, including our wonderful horses. Many have powerful rescue stories of their own which give hope and encouragement and serve as visible proof of the power of love to heal. Relationships built between the horses, mentors, participants and volunteers are life changing and bring joy in the midst of the challenges of "life". As only God can orchestrate, there is an abundance of fun and laughter intertwined with impactful moments and miracles! I always feel better after spending time at the ranch and I anxiously await my next visit!
Freedom Reigns Ranch is a place where people can be themselves. To feel safe and loved. It is a place of healing and restoration. I know this because I have seen it happen in my own child. It is a place where you know there is something different in the people who volunteer there, they love the kids like Jesus and it shows.

Freedom Reigns Ranch is a safe haven, not only for their participants and volunteers but also for the horses they tend to. Founded with a goal to help heal people, they also take rescues in and heal horses. The stories of people and beast merge beautifully. This place provides love, responsibility, accountability, and growth for all who visit!
I have been at Freedom Reigns Ranch for about 2-3 years. I was originally participating in Junior Ranchers, a program at Freedom reigns where kids can learn about horses, barn chores, etc, but most importantly Jesus. We did bible studies every night we came, and they helped us all grow in our faith. We also had a blast with our session leaders. I had a wonderful time and looked forward to going every month. Now, I am a junior volunteer and get to come out and help more often. Freedom reigns puts God before everything they do, and everyone there is kind, and makes you feel welcome and loved. They have used horses who have had trauma, and helped people who also have had trauma, through the horses, and God. It is truly one of the best places to be. :)
Freedom Reigns Ranch isn’t just a place where I’ve been comfortable in. I now consider it my home. It’s been my safe place when I’ve needed it most and the people there always make you feel loved and heard. Their horses there are sweet loving teddy bears that I love to connect to on deeper levels. A personal experience I’ve had there was this past week where I was able to escape my stressful life and just enjoy the cooler weather where I got to talk about things I was struggling with with my amazing session leader. I immediately felt more calm and ready to head back into the rest of my week with confidence.

I started volunteering at Freedom Reigns in the summer of 2021. I have had an amazing time with the horses and meeting tons of people. It is really just an awesome place and it is so fun to see all the kids (and adults) enjoying it. Everyone has a smile on their face and I instantly feel happy and like I’m home when I get there. My favorite horse is Freedom. He is a rescue horse and he is the best, sweet, and silly boy. Love Freedom Reigns so much!!
What God can do through the love of a horse and in a community of caring people is incredible.. and Freedom Reigns is exactly that! Truly a piece of Heaven right here on earth where young lives are being transformed.
Freedom Reigns has been a LIFE SAVER for my child. She likes to call the ranch her safe place-where she can be herself and be around the animals she loves. She has learned so much from the horses in regards to how to trust people again and to continue to fight her battle with mental illness.

Our teenage son has been the recipient of wonderful mentorship through the Freedom Reigns ministry. He’s is going into his second year in their program. The mentors and administration are so kind, loving & giving of their time. He has connected with the horses in a meaningful therapeutic way that has brought him joy & healing. We’re very grateful to be involved with this ministry and highly recommend it to others who are in need of spiritual, emotional or physical healing.
I am forever grateful to Freedom Reigns for showing me what joy was when I couldn’t find it in my life and introducing to me such a loving environment to come to. Every time I go to the ranch, I am reminded of the care and compassion for each individual and every horse, and the laughter and light that spreads in such bounty. I am so thankful to Carissa who is a great encourager to me, reminding me of my strengths , not of my weaknesses when it’s hard.
Life changing. Freedom Reigns is a sacred, peaceful place so full of the love for the Father, it flows through everyone and everything it touches. I watched my daughter go through one of the hardest times of her life after battling pediatric brain cancer. The side effects from treatment have left her with a lifetime of health issues. The sessions at the ranch were literally the only joy she had at certain points of her life in the last few years and helped support her and strengthen her faith through horse therapy. We knew immediately that we were in a place of true healing. What a change it has made indeed! Please support this amazing organization and help more families like ours.
I cant say enough about Freedom Reigns and the difference it has made in my daughters life! I don’t know where we would be without this program. My daughter has been part of the Junior Ranchers program for several years and when she is there with the horses, that is when she is the happiest I have ever seen her. She loves all the horses and bonds with them in such a sweet way, but her favorites are “Dancer and Joseph”. Carissa has a heart of gold and I am so thankful for her and her amazing team of volunteers. They have been a true blessing to my girl and our family. Freedom Reigns truly changes the lives of children and adults and at the same time they are saving the lives of horses. I cant think of anything sweeter than that! My daughter plans to continue to be apart of the program and volunteer for as long as possible . The ranch will forever hold a special place in our heart!
We love freedom reign and have been there going on 3 years now. My Daughter has loved getting to know the horses, their stories, and how to properly care for them, all while learning about Jesus and growing in friendships with her peers. This program is something she looks forward to and a wonderful up lifting place where she is loved, encouraged, and challenged to grow. To come back on this land is such a blessing for me. My great aunt and uncle own this land many years ago. My best childhood memories were here with horses, and many other farm animals. Now diagnosed with terminal cancer. Carissa welcomes me with open arms to visit. It brings healing to my body, mind, soul and heart. Thank you soooo much.

Miss Darlene went to be with Jesus on July 16th. Her kindness and genuine joy (even in the midst of a painful battle with cancer) were unmatched and truly an example of what it means to rejoice in trials. She enjoyed life to the fullest and encouraged everyone around her to do the same. Though we mourn, we also rejoice that she is whole once again and cancer no longer has a hold on her. We are so grateful to have known her.
Such and amazing organization of incredible staff and (mostly) volunteers carrying out an amazing mission! Some nonprofits lose touch with their core as they grow and professionalize, but the heart of FRR shines through as purely and passionately as when it all began. The amazing team here loves people and horses so well.
Freedom Reigns Ranch is my safe place to be able to get away from life and my worries. The work that it does is needed by so many. I’ve learned so much from the horses there (especially Joseph ) and from their amazing director, Carissa.
My daughter volunteers here and loves the horses and the people. She always has good things to say about the ranch and enjoys going as much as she can. She is learning the value of hard work and responsibility, all while bonding with the horses.
They are absolutely fantastic! I have been volunteering for at least four years, and they have always taught me something new about both horses and myself through their unique sessions. It has been great to bond with other volunteers and the horses.
The services this ranch provides far exceeds anything I have every witnesses. My teenage daughter has grown so much from this experience and I can tell she is receiving the best care possible. She hasn't had it easy and has anxiety and depression but being around the horses (especially Joseph) has increased her self esteem and left her feeling accomplished. She looks forward to her sessions and comes home feeling happy.
Freedom Reigns Ranch is a peaceful place in the middle of a storm for me. So full of God's love and grace that you can feel it all around you, the ranch and its people and its horses have helped me grow into myself, and into my faith. Giving me a place to call home!
This ranch is covered in immense peace and love of God. It is the most amazing thing to be a part of. The impact in just one session can stick with a participant for a lifetime, so we want to give as many sessions as possible to show love to everyone who needs it
