Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Our mission is to rescue farmed animals who have been neglected, abused, starved, or abandoned by providing them with food, shelter and medical care so that they can live the remainder of their lives free from pain and suffering. We also raise public awareness of the plight of mistreated animals through outreach programs, school visits, and animal sponsorship opportunities. In this way, we demonstrate that providing a permanent, nurturing environment for all agricultural animals is our role as a responsible society that values the sanctity of animal life. Our Vision We envision that the animals we rescue will become ambassadors for other farm animals who are victimized by their owners; that our outreach programs in schools, churches and other entities will call attention to the heartless treatment that far too many agricultural animals experience; and that a steady stream of donations and animal sponsorships will ensure that our sanctuary will continue to grow in size, while gaining regional recognition and respect.

FFAS is run on donations, as are most animal rescues, as one who has seen terrible animal neglect many times, I am a full supporter of FFAS and their vision.......we share the same one.....nothing else should matter except the care of these animals that would stand no chance in this cruel world without the selfless dedication of a few.

FFAS is an amazing place. Each resident (rescue animal) is valued. They all have a story, a name, an identify and the opportunity to live a life free of cruelty and full of love. I have volunteered at other animal rescuer organizations and have really enjoyed my time with these organization, however my time at FFAS has been life changing.

I'm proud of the important work being done at Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary. Farm animals are arguably the most abused, but at Freedom Farm they are treated with dignity, respect, and love. More people need to be aware of their mission.

Freedom Farm Sanctuary is an amazing place. I had the opportunity to volunteer last year. Lisa is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She has dedicated her life to saving animals in need. The animals are well taken care of and look so happy!

Freedom Farm is an amazing place because it was founded on the basis of love and compassion and wanting to make a difference. The founder, Lisa Miskella, cares so deeply about these animals that she will do whatever it takes to nurse them back to health. I’ve seen her bottle feeding goats, carrying a duck because he can’t walk, and wrapping a chicken in a blanket because he was sick. She goes above and beyond.

I had the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary and was truly impressed! The animals are well taken care of and look incredibly happy. I have become a monthly donor to Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary and I am very proud to be helping this amazing organization!
