Mission: Our mission at FYI is to raise awareness for the world's largest humanitarian crisis in Yemen while engaging with strategic partners to deliver humanitarian aid to those areas in Yemen which have been most affected. FYI is driven by our belief in grassroots organizing and community activism. We work with strategic partners to create conditions on the ground which are conducive to the health and well-being of Yemeni families. Over time, we hope to expand the scope and intensity of our efforts to encompass several regions of Yemen.
Results: FYI has assisted over 500 families - primarily in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. Our humanitarian aid bundles contain essential oils, supplies, and foods that last approximately one month before expiration. We target the areas in Yemen that the United Nations and USAID are either unwilling or unable to go to. Indeed, one will often find that aid from the international community is tied to overarching development goals and geopolitical objectives. Thus, humanitarian aid tends to concentrate in areas where the possibility for development is high - not necessarily in areas with the most need. Our organization proudly works with Yemenis for Yemenis and values aid for its own sake. Our grassroots approach has mobilized a diverse coalition of people and brought awareness to one of the worst crises in our world today.
I really appreciate the dedication and passion that this group has. I wish they were a bit clearer with their fundraising goals but overall I'm very impressed with them.

I first came across FYI through their fundraising efforts in the local community. I spoke with some of their volunteers and was immediately struck by how little I knew about Yemen. This is a great cause and one worth sharing with friends and family.
FYI is a great nonprofit organization with a unique and timely approach to helping those stuck in the conflict zones of Yemen's nearly seven-year war. Highly recommended!
