Mission: The Museum’s charitable mission is to preserve historic railroad assets including a portion of the PRR Frederick Secondary rail line and related property and equipment in Walkersville and Frederick County, to educate the public on the history and historic significance of the railroad line between Frederick, Walkersville and Woodsboro, MD and surrounding historical buildings. We also intend to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for Frederick County’s railroad, business and agricultural heritage.

The F & PRR Line Museum have plans to develop a Maryland Industry Museum in the Frederick County area. The Museum is expected to utilize several local industrial venues. The planners are savvy guys who have developed contacts and networked relationships with various community organizations and groups. The Museum does have hurdles to overcome to meet their core goals, some of which are daunting and will require finesse and persistence.
