the berenstain bears financial literacy program - bear country credit union is an eleven hundred square-foot financial literacy center, located at franklin mint federal credit union corporate offices in broomall, that creates a hands-on, interactive experience for young children to learn about money. The program commenced in 2013. As part of the experience, kindergarten through third-grade students receive a visit at their school from an fmfcu foundation educator. The visit includes a reading of the berenstain bears' "trouble with money". Sometime after, students take a school field trip to an fmfcu branch and then explore bear country credit union. It is there that children learn concepts of save, spend and share by assuming roles of bear tellers, member service representatives, and branch manager for an impactful learning experience.
