FFWW is consistently inspiring, encouraging, and empowering to the female veteran community it serves! FFWW has shown unmatchable support and care to female veterans transitioning through life's journey; which is one of the main reasons why I had to get involved as a volunteer! The mission of FFWW aligns with my own personal virtues - to uplift and positively impact the lives of female veterans, one women warrior at a time. So proud to be a part of this organization!
Volunteering with Foundation for Women Warriors has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From assembling care packages to helping at events, every moment felt purposeful and impactful. The team is organized, passionate, and truly dedicated to empowering women veterans and their families. I was impressed by the genuine care and respect they show to those they serve, as well as to the volunteers. Being part of this mission reminded me how important community support is - and how much of a difference we can make when we come together. I’m grateful to be involved and look forward to continuing to support this amazing organization
FFWW is such a great resource I recently was introduced to. The staff has been so kind and helpful. I wasn’t able to attend the baby shower they recently had in June but Keisha was able to set something up on her time off and have me go out to La Jolla (I live out of San Diego county) and I was expecting a gift basket but was grateful for the huge amount of gifts given (diapers, clothes, a choosing of a car seat and many more things). Thank you for making it easier on me. I look forward to more programs and resources FFWW has to offer.
The FFWW is an amazing resource for female veterans and their families. They provide support and services within the community from financial management to household supplies. They provide value and inspiration to the veteran community and help to bring stability, empowerment, and success to their veteran community. I am proud to volunteer and contribute to this amazing organization.
My mom is a veteran and she always shares how much she appreciates the Foundation for Women Warriors events. Thank you for your continued support of her service and all that you do for the community.
The Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing resource. They provide so much support to women veterans, from childcare support, financial literacy, professional training, and so much more. I’m proud to support this work and encourage anyone looking to make a difference in the lives of veterans to donate or volunteer to the foundation.
I attended financial management webinars and not only was it incredibly informative, it was inspiring to be connected to and learning with other servicewomen! Highly recommend.
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer with FFWW as it allows me to give back to those who have given so much for our country. The staff is highly competent, organized and kind. It is a joy to spend time with the staff and fellow volunteers while accomplishing whatever task needs to be done.
I just recently began volunteering with Foundation for Women Warriors, and I have loved my experience so far! Everyone is very kind and welcoming, and I always feel appreciated and supported by my fellow volunteers. The leadership is wonderful and I would highly recommend this organization to anyone looking to get more involved in the community!
I have had the honor of volunteering in many non profit organizations over the years, but The Foundation for Women Warriors stands out in my experience as one of the most rewarding. Not only are the staff exceptionally wonderful, and caring women, but they make the time spent supporting them awesome. They are organized, efficient and make it a pleasant event all around. I can not encourage anyone enough to make the time to volunteer with the FWW

I feel so fortunate to be able to volunteer with the Foundation for Women Warriors. All the staff are professional, kind, organized and just generally amazing! I feel so blessed when I have finished an event to have been able to support our veterans. Thanks you, FWW for all the awesome work you do!!
FFWW is an amazing organization. My experience with them has been exceptional. They are organized, and on task with everything they do. I have participated in the golf tournament, sorting items for the warehouse, mailings and packaging up bags for the women that come for assistance. I have enjoyed every experience with them and will continue to volunteer for them.

I am the proud mother of an active member of the military. The assistance Foundation for Women Warriors gives our female veterans and those transitioning out of the military is invaluable. I have felt fulfilled, appreciated, and had a great time every time I work with FWW. I have done warehouse inventory, helped with mailings, prepared for parties, worked parties, worked to raise awareness and visibility at Operation Dress Code and the Cajun by the Bay, and made baby quilts for the baby showers. I love every opportunity and hope to work with the wonderful women who make up Foundation for Women Warriors for many years.

This is an organization that I have been volunteering with for about 2 to 3 years. I’ve enjoyed the various tasks that I have helped with that benefits these women and their families.
Great organization

As the mother of an active duty military service member I am so aware of the sacrifices not only they but their families make. Anything I can do to show appreciation to active duty or veterans is my pleasure. Foundation for Women Warriors is a wonderful, friendly organization who focus on women veterans and their families. It has been fun preparing for events, helping with events, and even inventory. My favorite ways to support are helping with holiday parties, making baby quilts for baby showers, and preparing for events. Seeing how much joy the events bring to the veterans and their families is wonderful. I look forward to volunteering at FFW for many years.
I got linked up with FFWW earlier this month and am so thankful to have gotten a chance to work with them. They are doing incredible work helping women transition out of the service and am grateful to have stumbled into them. I feel more prepared for my upcoming transition and feel I have more community to support me when I do.
I've been associated with the Foundation for over a year and it has been an experience I wish everyone can have. The team is dedicated to their service of women service members with their multitude of programs, that provide child care and rental assistance to their Women Veterans Lead initiative that allows women veterans to network with corporate leaders to better their financial outlook. I'm honored to volunteer with this organization.

Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing organization that thrives to highlight the many contributions women play in our military and to provide the specialized assistance we require during and after service. The foundation has been instrumental in my feeling a measure of success and understanding of how to move forward in advancing my career in the private sector. Bar none, this organization is an asset to women veterans.
I am truly privileged to be a part of the Foundation for Women Warriors. This organization has made significant contributions to the veteran community, shedding light on the history, contributions, and patriotism of female veterans. FFWW excels in its support for and preparation of female veterans both during and after their military service. I take immense pride in helping this foundation and the remarkable women who have selflessly served our great country. Thank you!
I am a Marine Corps veteran who has been working with the Foundation for Women Warriors on my professional development for a number of years. I have met so many supportive women veterans from all branches. I finally don’t feel alone in my journey. The skills that I have learned have improved my confidence which allows me to walk into any room with my head up. I’m so grateful for their commitment to women like me.
Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing organization that puts veterans first! I recommend FFWW to all the female veterans in my life. They have helped me set professional goals, supported me in achieving my goals, and they always reach out so that I am connected to the community. I have also met some outstanding veteran females that have restored my faith in the female veteran community.
FFWW was an organization our school club, Cubs 4 Vets, was looking to collaborate with. The Co-President and myself decided to reach out to them and got a quick response. They gave us multiple ideas that would work for the size of our clubs, and our club decided on making bath salts. Over the span of 2 club meetings, our club made bath salts along with notes to the women in the classroom. Clubmates enjoyed this opportunity of doing a hands-on service project that FFWW provided to us. Their quick response toward collaboration and understanding of how to work with a high school club showed that FFWW is an amazing organization that if you want to volunteer in some way, they will make it happen. We had an awesome experience working with them.
FFWW is a fantastic organization. I'm a long time champion, USMC Veteran, and volunteer. The mission of FFWW is an important and critical one for many women veterans and our families. I'm always impressed by the hardwork and commitment the FFWW team shows. As a volunteer, the projects we are engaged in are well organized, fun, and meaningful. Knowing that a woman veteran's new journey is made a bit easier by FFWW work keeps me coming back.
I am honored to work with the Foundation for Women Warriors, this organization has done so much in the Veteran community by bringing to light the history, contributions, patriotism and so much more for our Female Veterans. FFWW does a phenomenal job in supporting and preparing Female Veterans during and after they leave the military, mind, body, hear and soul. I am so proud to serve this foundation and these wonderful women who have served our awesome country! Thank you!
I am a veteran who experienced a challenging transition into the civilian sector in the middle of the Great Recession and just last week I returned to work after having my first child. Similarly, transitioning military today is facing the threat of a recession. Mothers are facing rising costs to feed, provide shelter, and care for their children. As board treasurer I am tremendously proud and uniquely aware of the need for the work we do serving women who have served our country and their children. We are deeply committed to our mission and appreciate your support.
This organization provides a hand up for veterans. The service provided supports childcare, subsistence and programs that move individuals forward in their lives with appreciation and understanding for the service they have given to our country.
The majority of those veterans pay it forward to others who may need a hand up.

This nonprofit is the bridge that allows women warriors a hand up for child care needs, housing, career development and subsistence. Without exception this organization provides this hand up ensuring the warriors are treated with the dignity they have earned. I am honored to be a member of the board that supports this outstanding cause.
Foundation for Women Warriors (FFWW) is making such a difference in the lives of U.S. Armed Forces women veterans and their children. FFWW provides women veterans with so many meaningful and life changing services including help with emergency needs, well-being resources, professional development, and career transition guidance. As a woman veteran who could only dream of this type of support when I transitioned out of the military, I couldn't be more honored to be a part of this amazing, impactful and important organization.
The Foundation for Women Warriors is a unique nonprofit focused on the needs of women veterans. The organization helps women with post-military careers, single moms, housing assistance, and other necessary assistance for women who have left the military and are entering civilian life. The organization has really grown over the last few years due to great leadership and a committed Board. My Company, SoCalGas, has been a sponsor for several years, both financially and through employee volunteers for various fundraising and charitable events. The organization is focused on its SoCal veterans, but eager to expand its reach to all women veterans in the US in the years to come.
Foundation For Women Warriors is a mighty force in the veteran support space. With smarts, determination, passion, and grit, the staff and leadership of this organization empower lady veterans transitioning to civilian employment. This is a truly humbling and fragile time with many vets balancing a house of cards that can fold for the smallest of reasons. The resources and connections provided by FFWW programs help these ladies turn that house into a fortress! I've seen it in action and it is inspiring! I am absolutely honored to play a modest role in the impact of this group!
The Foundation For Women Warriors has been an outstanding resource for me, I am very thankful for being apart of it.
The amazing events they host make us feel stronger and better during our transition out of the military. More female veterans need places to support them and this organization is doing that .
As a former Marine who served with many outstanding female service member, and a father of two young daughters, I find this foundation instrumental in giving back and investing in the future of our nation and women veterans.
The leadership, perspective, and tenacity of this organization are second to none. The foundation is a great place for you, your business, and the community to invest.
Please take the time learn more about the work that’s being done by this organization to help our women warriors and veterans who have given to us and our country.
Foundation For Women Warriors is an amazing organization!
I started volunteering at the organization in the beginning of 2022 because I wanted to give back to my community and I felt working with the veteran population would be fun since I am also a veteran. After speaking with Jodi (CEO) after a volunteer event she invited me to apply to the Fortune's most powerful women's summit where I had the opportunity with other transitioning female veterans to meet with top women leaders in many industries. If it wasn't for FFW I would have never gotten an opportunity like this. Thank you!!!
I was referred to the Foundation For Women Warriors by my counselor at the Navy Wounded Warrior - Safe Harbor. Transitioning from active duty service to civilian life is difficult, adding medical challenges to this feels almost impossible.
The Foundation For Women Warriors has been an outstanding resource for me: after talking to a staff member about the help I needed, I received an email the very next day with TANGIBLE resources. FFWW also exposed me to a network of other women who are career pivoting or already veterans and this has been the most significant support I needed. Ultimately, FFWW also partnered with Fortune 500 and offered an opportunity I could have never obtained on my own: as a participant of the Fortune 500 Most Powerful Women - Future Leaders cohort, transitioning from the military is no longer frightening and depressing but an inspiring group effort. I am eager to be in a place where I can give back to this very unique organization.
Foundation For Women Warriors truly cares about the well-being and successful of women veterans and active duty women. I attended a Women’s Fortune event, sponsored by FFWW, which gave me invaluable connections that will undoubtedly take me places in my career I never thought possible. It wouldn’t have happened without this organization’s dedication to give back to women veterans.
Foundation for Women Warriors helped me in my time of need. I really appreciate their assistance and think that organizations like this need to stay around for this niche community of Veteran women. The services and outreach they bring to the community is a need, not a want.
I asked staff (program coordinator) extensive prerequisite questions before submitting extensive paperwork. Staff assured me that everything was good and I met the requirements. After submitting all the documentation she then stated I don't qualify. She also never followed up with me with resources as she promised she would.

We apologize that our process was not fully explained. During our intake we ask a number of preliminary questions to determine application eligibility. Being eligible is a prerequisite step in the application process. Upon submitting a full application with all the required documentation, the application must still be assessed and vetted to determine if the applicant can demonstrate financial need, that the financial statements and bills match the applicant situation provided during intake, and does not show gross financial mismanagement, and/or have assets that can be used to overcome the financial setback. We have addressed this feedback with our programs team to ensure each inquiry is given a full explanation of our process.
I support the hard working efforts of Foundation for Women Warriors. (FFWW) The genuine care and support these women give to making our women warriors transition into civilian life is admirable. The time and effort to make all this come together is wonderful. Truly a strong group of women supporting other women in our life’s journey.
Thank you for all you do.

Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing organization that has gone above and beyond to assist me in my transition from active duty to civilian.
I’ve participated in the last two Women’s leadership conferences in NYC and learned so much valuable information at each conference. I was planning on attending this year however, due to covid it was canceled.
The entire staff goes above and beyond to ensure that veterans have all the tools necessary to be successful. I know that if I ever need assistance in the future I can reach out to them.
Foundation for Women Warriors is truly a unique and outstanding organization. Upon separating from the Navy I took mandatory transition classes, as everyone does, however those classes did not compare to the experience I had from FFWW's Connect with Community event last year. There I had learned tools and skills for transitioning and adapting to the civilian workforce that were absent in the military transition training. I was also surrounded by a community of other women both civilian and veterans (which is rare in military culture). I met women who were in the same phase of transition as I was which was both comforting and encouraging. I also met women veterans who've established incredible success in their civilian careers - who were there to share their journey, lessons learned and strategies to help equip us with the knowledge and mindset that would ultimately help us get to where we want to go. It was incredibly inspiring and opened my eyes to the number of possibilities and the resources out there that want to assist women veterans not only survive, but establish excellence in the civilian workforce.
I have been affiliated with Foundation for Women Warriors for several years in a volunteer capacity. The work they're doing is incomparable when it comes to changing the trajectory of people's lives. I've attended several of F4WW's networking and professional development events and those have been incredibly beneficial to me in terms of financial literacy, educational planning, and career progression.
When Covid first surfaced, I wanted to help non-profit organizations focused on empowering women, by offering mindfulness trainings. I blindly reached out to Jodie Grenier, CEO extraordinaire of the Foundation For Women Warriors (F4WW), and was instantly awed by the incredible work of this organization.
There are many aspects of F4WW that I love. I love how they proudly share different women's stories and their varied forms of service. I love how they acclimate to meet the changing needs of the veterans they serve based based on the changing times. And I love how they help their veterans - whether it's with food, health care, education, or a myriad of other ways - transition to their next chapter while still honoring their past. It was a gift to me to connect with F4WW and I am proud to be a supporter and volunteer for this amazing organization. Shayna Kaufmann, Ph.D. President of Embrace The Middle
When I was looking for an organization for women veterans for a fundraiser, I searched nationwide and contacted over 80 places. The Foundation for Women Warriors (FFWW) was the only organization that ticked ALL of the boxes regarding an organization that treated people with respect and offered serious support and education. FFWW made it a point to start with empowerment to our fine women warriors. They are incredibly dedicated to supporting women veterans as they transition to civilian life. As I have continued to work with them, their mission is more evident than ever. FFWW delivers educational resources, childcare, and financial assistance - and most importantly - a tight-knit community that supports each other through thick and thin. Everyone that I have met, who is involved with this Foundation is intelligent, honorable, warm, and welcoming. I am proud to be affiliated and would encourage everyone to donate.
I've been an enthusiastic support of FFWW since learning about the organization back in 2018. This is the 1st women's non-profit organization that I know of to serve the needs of women veterans in California. FFWW is my go-to resource when working with female student veterans who have recently completed their service and are looking for a supportive community to connect with where they can meet other women veterans who have successfully made that transition. Jodie and the FFWW team is very intentional about providing women veterans w/ various types opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, while supporting their immediate needs. Interested in volunteering to support our women warriors but not sure where to start? Reach out to FFWW, they'll definitely find a place for you to get involved!
I am deeply honored to serve as an ambassador for FFWW. This organization is dedicated to serving the needs of our fellow women veterans and ensuring that support is provided when it is most vital.
Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing organization! After serving 10 years in the Marine Corps, this organization has not only kept me connected with my sisters but has help me continue my service to our community. The resources, education and support that can be found here is like no other.
I am honored to be an Ambassador for such an amazing nonprofit! Jodie and her team are ALL HEART ❤️! Their love for the community and for helping Active Duty and Veteran Women is awe inspiring.
FFWW provides resources, training, support and assistance to those in need. And for that, I am proud to be a member!
It is an honor to serve as a board member for Foundation for Women Warriors, the only charitable organization focused on the economic well being of women veterans. With Jodie Grenier at the helm as CEO, the FFWW team members are ardent advocates for women veterans and their children — making the challenges of this unique and courageous group more broadly known — and creating support networks so that their next mission is clear and continues to impact the world. FFWW programs are designed to prevent homelessness, support employment and career advancement and connect veterans to resources for personal and financial sustainability. FFWW also provides entry to a much needed post-service community, further enabling participants to find valuable employment advice, forge important relationships in the business community and learn how their military skills can be utilized in seemingly different fields. I am proud to support FFWW and its important work honoring our nation’s women veterans by empowering their future.
Foundation for Women Warriors is a unique support organization created exclusively for the women veteran community of Southern California. Foundation for Women Warriors provide essential programs to empower the resiliency and professional development of Women Warriors. Every step is dedicated to supporting these outstanding women to navigate obstacles and realize their maximum potential after their service career.
Foundation for Women Veterans continues to find unique ways to show appreciation to women veterans and their families. The ability to support the arena of child care places the organization above all others ion the state of California.
I am a proud Board member and it is without a doubt, I plan life time involvement as I recognize the organization’s ability to lead in the area of caring from my fellow sister vets.
The Foundation for Women Warriors is by far one of the most well run, most incredible organizations that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Originally founded close to 100 years ago to support the spouses of male veterans, the organization has adapted and grown over the years to meet the evolving need of our women veterans.
As one of the few organizations that provide direct support to women vets, it's programs have been essential to helping our women get a hand up not a hand out when trying to make the successful transition from military to civilian life.
Close to 100% of the women served by the organization have expressed gratitude for the positive impact that FFWW has played in their lives. I couldn't be more proud to work with FFWW and it's dynamic and dedicated team.
Foundation for Women Warriors turned my unorganized, jargon filled resume into something clear and organized for the civilian world. The assisted me in my job search and really supported me as a woman veteran even though I had seperated years prior. I can't thank them enough! Not just for what they did for me, but for all that they're doing for female veterans.
I came across Jodie, and the Foundation For Women Warriors, through a close friend and attended a local event. This group is focusing on helping a segment of veterans I have not run into before and is much needed. First, it focuses on women veterans who have encountered significant problems and need immediate help. There are plenty of groups who focus on helping people transition from the military to civilian life, but those who have transitioned and run into problems later, not so much.
Many woman veterans are also single parents who often run into different problems that have not been covered in most benefit plans. Sure, you can get help with tuition for education, but that does not necessarily cover sitter costs. There are also times when there is some type of hiccup and monthly benefit checks are late. There has been a lot of discussion about how the average family do not have funds to cover a $400 emergency. These type of emergencies happen frequently with the women that this group helps out.
Being a veteran myself, I have been supportive of veterans and organizations that help veterans. The common component of the ones that are best is the leadership. Jodie Grenier fits the category of best leader. In speaking with her, it is clear she is passionate and keenly focused on the success of her group. She is intelligent and articulate, well educated and could easily be in a leadership position in the private sector, but she chooses to lead this group. She has put together a great team of volunteers and they work well together. What she is focused on is important and I hope that others feel the same way and support. I intend to.

The team at Foundation for Women Warriors is committed, hardworking, and energetic; they inspire me everyday. As a donor and a volunteer, I'm honored to be a small part of FFWW's mission: empowering women veterans to achieve economic well-being: having control over their finances while consistently meeting basic needs, including food, housing, utilities, healthcare, education, and childcare. All as they pursue their degrees and dream careers, many while providing for their children as single parents.
I sit on the board of FFWW and have watched as this foundation’s leadership went through the struggles of engineering a complete 180 from the foundation’s earlier days of helping woman veterans “in need” to being a force for empowerment. The commitment, passion and emotional connection this team has for the women veteran community it supports is beyond inspirational and it is gift to be able to work closely with them.
As a political science professor and scholar, I have spent my career studying questions related to gender equity and women’s representation in non-traditional domains such as the United States military. Women make up approximately 20% of active-duty service members and when they are serving, they are often in the minority trying to fit into the “boy’s club.” When they leave the military, they lose the network they once enjoyed while serving. In short, women go from being the most visible active-duty service member, as they are typically the only woman in their unit, to the least visible veterans. Research shows that female veterans also face a number of obstacles when they leave the military:
• Women veterans are the fastest growing segment of homeless veterans
• Women veterans are 250% more likely to commit suicide than women who haven’t served
• Sixty percent of female veterans report housing instability
• One in four experience sexual assault; 73% have experienced sexual harassment
The Foundation for Women Warriors (FFWW) delivers unique programming that tackles these issues head on. The Foundation's programing offers women veterans tailored assistance during their transition, which often means providing emergency financial assistance to prevent homelessness, a late utility payment, or childcare assistance that enables veteran mothers to pursue their degrees and professional development. I am honored to serve as a FFWW board member to champion its mission and make sure women veterans have the resources and opportunities to succeed post-transition.
Foundation for Women Warriors is an amazing organization. They are the only organization in Southern California dedicated to assisting and empowering women veterans/warriors. FFWW is committed to helping women warriors succeed. FFWW has done this by addressing the 4 needs of women veterans: housing, education, childcare and community. Foundation for Women Warriors has 4 programs to address those needs: Warrior Assistance, Childcare, Warrior Connect and Connect with Community.
Served over 4400 women
Prevented 396 evictions
Sponsored over 79,820 warm nights
Prevented 171 utility disconnections
Provided food for over 165 families
Sponsored over 2238 childcare days
Connected over 3576 women veterans with mental health, employment, transition and education resources
Cheers to an amazing organization!
Volunteering with the Foundation For Women Warriors nonprofit has changed my life. As the husband of a Woman Warrior, I saw first hand the unique contributions women service members make. I also saw the unique challenges they face. Volunteering with the Foundation For Women Warriors has enabled me to give back to my sisters-in-arms that come behind me, in a way that I know will help to ease those challenges. No other nonprofit serves exclusively women veterans in Southern California.
As a father to daughters, the Foundation For Women Warriors provides an environment where my children can see a man interacting with women as peers. It also enables them to see women leaders working with a man, to give back to other women. As a father, this kind of inclusiveness is vitally important for children to know about. As a veteran, the inclusive environment at the Foundation For Women Warriors brings back the dynamic, mission focused, environment I served in. It is incredibly meaningful.
I am thankful for this organization every day, and for every chance I get to help them continue their mission.
