I fostered a kitten that would have had a different outcome at many other places due to her wounds. Thanks to the amazing foundation for TJO Animals and the amazing donors, her medical needs were all met and then I adopted the sassy girl now named Wednesday
I have been supporting the foundation for TJO animals for several years. The work they do in the community is amazing. I support them through donations as well as attending their many fun/creative events they put on throughout the year! The shelter works tirelessly caring for the many animals that enter the shelter.
We proudly have adopted 2 amazing kitties from TJO. The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for the medical care for the tjo animals. They have fabulous events and fundraisers throughout the year to raise these funds. The shelter staff work tirelessly 24/7 to provide exceptional care for all the animals. Both organizations are truly passionate about the wellbeing of the animals. We support all things TJO!
Over the years we have had the opportunity to interact and observe the amazing staff and volunteers at TJO. The work that they do on a daily basis with limited resources is a testament to their dedication and love of animal's. Our goal is to support them and help save as many animals as we can.
There is not enough stars for the amazing work that TJO team provide for these animals. I have been a volunteer for like 13 years and I’ve seen the heartbreak that they’ve had to deal with and how they all pulled together to do the right thing for these animals, they always go above and beyond and I am so proud to be part of what they do. I have adopted a few dogs there in my time all seniors that a lot of places wouldn’t have taken the time energy.
Thank you, TJO for everything you do you guys are the greatest
We adopted Arya (aka Lambchop) from TJO in 2021. She was a very touch and go case for her first several weeks and her foster mom wasn't sure she'd make it. Thankfully the now director of TJO, Heather, didn't give up on her and got her back to great health. Today, she continues to strive and is wonderfully happy and healthy. Thank you so much to TJO for not giving up on our baby and thank you to the Foundation for providing the medical care she needed! Arya is our baby kitty cat and we adore her!
I have never met a group of folks more dedicated to the cause than the team at TJO. From the minute you start to engage with them, it's apparent that they are all focused on the health and well being of the animals under their care. Before I adopted Baxter from TJO in February of 2022, they provided him with necessary dental care and love, and he's been a perfect addition to my household. I admire the work TJO does and I would never adopt anywhere else.
We adopted our dog Gordie (Gordo) from TJO. He came into their care in terrible shape from a life of neglect. They provided him with the surgery and medical/dental attention he desperately needed and the love and care he hadn’t experienced in his home. The shelter was super clean and brightly lit. The animals are well taken care of and loved. The staff is super friendly and helpful. TJO is the only shelter we donate to because we know firsthand what great care the animals receive there. I highly recommend adopting from and donating to TJO!
All of the employees at TJO are dedicated to their cause and it is very transparent at any and every event . Not only are the events well planned and organized but they are beyond fun and uplifting.
My family adopted Nick four years ago during Covid. The team at TJO had many limitations, but went above and beyond to ensure that the animals at the shelter were adopted. The adoption process was easy and the communication was spot on.
Nick is a perfect match for our family and I can’t thank TJO enough for the happiness that Nick brings to us every day.
When I am ready to adopt another dog, I will definitely work with TJO.
The conditions that the dogs in holding are kept in is awful. Their are kennel cards on each kennel that show the lack of enrichment they receive. Including many of the spending almost 24 hours each day in their kennel. After being a part of the veterinary team for over a year ( from 2022 to 2023) there was never a trained behaviorist. As a matter of fact the executive director would often euthanize dogs and blame it on their behavior. Despite the fact that most of the dogs were lucky to see the light of day. After 7 days of little to no interaction, only at that point would they be assessed and the director would make her decision on euthanasia based on how they would react after such confinement. This shelter has a kill rate of over 20% for dogs.
