Causes: Human Services, International, International Development, International Human Rights
Mission: The Foundation for the People of Burma is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to Burmese people of all ethnic backgrounds and religious beliefs. FPB responds to the basic needs of communities, supporting locally run projects in the following general areas: Health, Education, and Leadership Development. We look for opportunity in all our health programs for the incorporation of HIV/AIDS prevention education. FPB primarily supports programs for Burmese in Thailand and Burma. The Foundation does not provide funds for advocacy or politically oriented programs. No funds are provided to the military rulers in Burma.
Programs: Support is provided primarily to community health centers and education programs in the north of Thailand, along the Burma border, which serve over 1 million refugees living in Thailand.
