Mission: The foundation for marine animal husbandry, inc. Provides financial and operational support to the marine mammal care center at fort macarthur in san pedro, ca. The center provides care and temporary sanctuary for beached or stranded marine mammals in an environment that is instructional and educational for the los angeles unified school district and the general public.
Programs: Through the marine mammal care center, the foundation for marine animal husbandry, inc. Cared for 475 animals and provided an instructional and educational environment for 68 school groups, 27 scout troops, and 35 other instructional institutions, as well as 70 additional unbooked and fence only tours for children and members of the public.
