Keeping kids off drugs is great! The only problem is this organization is funded and run by the church of Scientology. Also uses mostly scare tactics and extreme case stories instead of statistical analysis when delivering facts. Mixing religion and science is not where its at, would stay clear of this organization.
The team at Foundation for a Drug Free World works very hard and succeeds at getting effective drug education materials into the hands of thousands children and teens across the U.S. They are leading the fight against drug abuse and provide invaluable information about the harmful effects of drugs through their website, PSAs, and booklets.
One of the most inspirational organisation that I know of. Meghan and her team are higher impact performers and create the most positive ripples wherever they go. Always ready to help and guide. Always prepared with the most workable answers and graciously and patiently attend to every question. They are making a monumental difference to this world.

Foundation for a Drug Free World is a magnificently important organization to the modern society. When one looks into the unhappiness on the streets of local neighborhoods, it really opens eyes as to the real evil we are fighting: substance abuse. Foundation for a Drug Free World is actually doing something about this issue, and making our world and our neighborhoods a safer environment for our children to grow up in.
I have seen the work that Drug Free World has put into Portland, Oregon. The volunteers up there have spent hours upon hours educating the city’s population of the dangers of drugs. You don’t realize how unknown the truth about drugs really is to the general population until you see the huge effect it has on someone as they finally learn.
Foundation for a Drug Free World is one of the organizations that is going to bring our civilization out of the depths of addiction and substance abuse, and there’s few things more important to achieve a bright future for our children.
Extremely useful well presented materials. The booklets give the kids the knowledge to make good decisions in life. Staying away from drugs because they realized the path involvement will lead them down will not be a pleasant one!
I worked at a Private K-12th School for many years. When we had speakers come and talk with the Jr. High & High School students from Foundation for a Drug Free World and tell their stories the students really responded. They also felt it was an open environment for them to be able to ask questions and really engage. This contributed to having no drug related incidents with the students. It is a wonderful program!

I used the curriculum from Drug Free World to teach students in middle school.
The videos and information were outstanding.
At the start, a girl said, “I don’t know why you’re going to talk to us about this (drugs), we’re going to try it anyway.”
I replied that I wanted them to have information other than from a drug dealer.
At the end of the course, students handed notes to me that said, “I am never using drugs again,” and “I will never try drugs, I know better now.”
The girl who spoke up at the beginning said, “The friends (of the student speakers in the videos) lied to them about drugs!” She was shocked.
Amazing and informative campaign! The information explains what different drugs do to your body and what they are. I have never seen another teach what drugs actually are and do. I have seen amazing reactions from people after reading.
A simple and powerful program, ready to deliver. I’ve see teachers and coaches use these booklets as tools to keep children educated. Simply “Say no to drugs” does not communicate any more. Education is the key!

Foundation for a Drug Free World does great work. They provide very comprehensive drug education materials absolutely free to groups who educate kids (and adults) on the Truth About Drugs. This can be clergy, law enforcement, community groups, schools, after school programs, etc. They also will print your group's logo on the materials.

Drug Free World is doing the most in my opinion to truly educate the world on drugs. This is something that we need more of to quell the opioid epidemic and alcoholism.
They have Great materials that easily communicate to people of all ages and help people understand the Truth about drugs.

Drug Free World is the most effective drug education program I have ever come accross. I highly recommend this program for any child learning about drug use and abuse.

This Foundation helps alot of people from New York to Haiti. The Founders, a daughter and father team, have been awarded by heads of States as well as heads of very large organizations for the very well done job they have done and carried out through many countries. They have definitely earned my respect. They continue to do great works especially in the city of New York and the country of Haiti.

Foundation for a Drug Free World is the ONLY education program of its kind that offers FREE drug prevention education and top-notch materials to schools, governments, law enforcement and groups. And the best part is, it is operated totally by volunteers.
I really admire their dedication and selflessness. I see how much time and personal funding by the volunteers themselves goes into this. There are so many good people falling prey to drugs and they work relentlessly to eradicate this scourge.

I find this non-profit organization to be extremely useful solely for the knowledge that is provided to students through this program. Students are being educated on the "Truth About Drugs" everyday, giving them powerful insight into a drug culture that can change their life forever.
The people who worked for this foundation was very king and helped kids from other schools to understand the truth about drugs in a very interactive and fun manner.
The foundation tells people & kids, the truth so they can decide. I wish they had been around when I was young -- no one told us drugs were bad and then the 70s hit... I saw so many people waste years of their life high on drugs.

I only wish these materials had been there when I was growing up. These children need to know the facts about these drugs so they can make their decisions and be able to be strong in the face of those who push them. This site is SO valuable to show that many can be reached and what that means for our young.
In the New York area 1000s of drug prevention booklets have been distributed and drug awareness events have been held in schools. These materials and activities have helped people around learn about the destructive side effects of drugs and thereby make the decision for themselves to not use them.
The Foundation for a Drug Free World, put out some of the most relevent materials I have seen on the subject of Drug use and abuse. As one interested in and involved with drug education to both youth and adults I find myself using their materials at almost every opportunity. They are concise and hard hitting and cover the whole array of drugs out there. Their video presentations and educator kits are second to none. I have never called on them when they were not at my service.
They definitely go out of their way to be of service, be it speed of service or quality and quantity of materials available.
I am a Volunteer for the Foundation for a Drug Free World and have not found any other nonprofit that is so effective. I have helped and saved countless lives from being ruined by drugs by using the literature made available by the Foundation for a Drug Free World. They have booklets, DVDs, posters and even lesson plans you can use to educate people on Drugs and their effects. I have done Truth About Drug lectures at many schools using these materials and have had only positive feedback from the children as well as the teachers.
I was really impressed with the information, rather than opinion, delivered by the personnel of Foundation for a Drug Free World. It gave straight information from many of those who had experienced drug problems personally and delivered facts about what the drugs did. As a health educator I can use this in the real fight to educate all those in our society, not just the students, in a way to evaluate whether to take a drug or not. As someone who has operated "drug treatment" programs I know there is much to be looked at in what is "effective" treatment.
I have helped the Foundation for a Drug Free World with a couple of events. The response from the kids and the teachers/counselors was rave, just about every time.
The program is very easy for the volunteer. The Foundation provides booklets, DVDs and curricula that educate kids and teenagers about the REAL truth about drugs. The DVDs explain what the drugs are made of and how they are used, where they come from, etc. Then they have ex drug users talk about their experiences with the drugs and what happened to them. Its pretty hard hitting but the program can be modified for younger audiences. For teens it helps them with the information they need to make their own decisions.
The modified program for younger audiences is so much fun to deliver. The kids are really curious and this teaches them early on that drugs are bad for you. They get sworn in as "drug free marshals" and understand why they shouldn't do drugs.

I have volunteered to work with The Foundation for a Drug Free World for several schools and youth groups around NYC. The program is great in that it is flexible enough to deliver to kids of all ages. Younger kids learn what drugs are and what they can do and pledge that they won't take drugs. Older kids learn from videos of people their own age that have taken drugs who talk about their experiences. Information is given on what the drugs are composed of so they can learn what they're putting into their bodies. And most of all, the foundation gives out free literature educating people about each drug. These are given to the schools - the teachers and the kids can take as many as they want and give them to their families and friends. The school administrators love the program and refer it to others...
Foundation for a Drug Free World is an amazing foundation. The children are the future and by educating them on drugs as well as educating adults is truly the way to solve many problems we are facing now and creates hope for the future. Drugs not only destroy an individual, but destroy the people around them. To stop the use of drugs you have to reteach people what they are, because in todays society it seems that we have lost truth about drugs. The media and society as a whole glorifies drugs and the drug culture. Not only illegal drugs but prescription drugs such as Ritalin which is over-prescribed and over-used by CHILDREN. The foundation is very organized and uses informative and captivating resources such as booklets and public service announcements to capture the attention of children and adults alike and tear down the blinds society and the media have set up about drugs.
This drug free program is so simple to understand. Kids and adolescence get the true information about drugs. In elementary school, I went through the D.A.R.E. program and it isn't comparable at all to Foundation for a Drug Free World. First, this program is supported by volunteers who give their time because they know it works, not because they are paid officials. Next the information is so well researched children are provided with the facts. Seeing people's reactions after becoming enlightened about the truth about drugs is incredible!
Several months ago I sent out an extension course to a friends son , who was serving 6 mos in the Dutchess Cty. Jail for a misdemeanor . He completed that course . When he came home I questioned him on the course and I was told every inmate in the facility wanted to do this , wow I said we need to get donations for this to happen . Then I got an idea . Let me contact the correctional facility and get the route to city govt. on this . I'm doing this now . I can't wait to see the results . I believe if councilman and criminal judges and prosecutors receive a letter and a DVD on this way to happiness program and realize how much it helps their community and also what it will do for their campaign at re- election it will be a win , win for everyone . Working with Foundation for a Drug Free World has been very fulfilling. The materials are very good, and the feedback is great. It is really making a difference in the community, and Foundation for a Drug Free World works WITH the community and schools to educate and have kids make their own commitment to live a drug free life.
I helped do a presentation to a school in the Bronx using the Foundation For A Drug Free World materials. The students were so interested and willing to talk about what they were seeing. They asked lots of questions and I could tell that the videos and presentation made an impression on them. This program brings true data to kids by presenting interviews with people who have had their lives fall apart as a result of drug abuse. Their stories are very impinging and hearing someone's personal account has a greater impact on a child than an authority figure, like a teacher or a parent, telling them they just "shouldn't do it". The documentary nature of these materials makes it very real to someone WHY they wouldn't want to get involved with drugs.
This experience was awesome! I met so many people. A man that made a pledge was doing so because he put his wife on psych meds and he said it was a big mistake. She is not on the meds now and he said that what we were doing was very important. He actually changed after taking the pledge. Best experience ever. LMC, New York New York

I worked with the Elysian Charter School in Hoboken, NJ to get the Truth About Drugs incorporated into their health curriculum. The teacher told me that while watching the videos the kids were absolutely silent and attentive, which he says is exceptional for a group of 8th graders. He also said that the subsequent discussions were serious and focused, another rarity for kids that age. It is a pleasure to be involved in Foundation for a Drug Free World because the material really makes an impact.
This charity is doing what no other is doing -- educating young people, their parents, teachers and even drug counselors on the hazards of drugs -- it goes well beyond "Just Say No!" A nice mantra, but that's all "Just Say No!" is. Foundation for a Drug Free World materials should be mandatory in every school, home and business. Where it's used, it makes a huge impact and helps keep more kids off of drugs -- or helps explain the reasons they should get off drugs -- than any other program.
It's said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This couldn't be more true than about the results that the Foundation for a Drug Free World get. Their "Truth About Drugs" prevention program combined with their Drug Free Marshall's program WORK--and they work like no other. These 2 programs prevent someone from even "experimenting" with drugs, much less becoming a drug abuser. Their results have no equal. This is a group that I whole-heartedly support and encourage anyone with children, anyone in education, in law enforcement or in government to look into an support. This program goes a long way to prevent a future drugged society.
