Mission: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need.
Programs: Buid a home program-30 new homes and 2 rehabs; preserve a home program-71 external rehab projects; in all 103 families served in 2014 through the above projects provided by 10,446 volunteers contributing 77,358 hours.
to assist habitat in fulfilling it's mission of bringing people together building homes, communities and hope it operates four restores (thrift stores) that sell donated construction materials and merchandise as part of it's program services. These stores are manned both by employees and volunteers and assist people who wish to make donations of household items. The proceeds of the sales of merchandise are utilized in the acquistion of land and construction of housing to fulfill our overall mission.
