We adopted two black DSHs from FCCRSNC. We had lost 2 of our cats and were down to one, who was very sad and wouldn't eat. I'm glad we took the two as they were sole litter mates and, as far as I can tell, twins. The foster mother was really encouraging us to take both, even though we only had planned to get one. I'm glad I did because they play together, while my old boy sleeps.

FCCRSNC puts you through a rigorous process to make sure that you are an appropriate companion. The cats are up-to-date on their shoots, wormed appropriately and micro-chipped. They make you guarantee that they will not be de-clawed (yeah!) The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I have worked at other shelters, but I will only adopt from now on from FCCRSNC.

Fort Collins Spay/ Neuter Clinic provides a much-needed service to their community. The importance of spay/neuter cannot be overstated; it prevents unwanted litters and helps keep shelter populations down. Fort Collins is making a tremendous difference in the lives of the animals and people in their community.

I've volunteered at the Spay Neuter Clinic for over five years and am in awe of what this organization does and the integrity with which they do it. Sara, the staff and volunteers make their mission happen every single day. They always struggle financially and work incredibly hard to bring funding in. I'm so proud of FCCR that I donate now and am happily leaving them a financial legacy in my will !

My husband and I adopted a shy little cat from Fort Collins Cat Rescue in January of 2009. We were so impressed with the upbeat staff and mission of the no-kill shelter that a few months later I became a volunteer (then board member in December). In addition, we've referred friends and neighbors to FCCR's low-cost spay/neuter clinic for dogs and cats, and we've used the clinic ourselves for inexpensive vaccinations for our kitties. The shelter has been open only four years (the clinic three), but they've already adopted out over 2,500 cats and kittens and spayed/neutered over 12,300 dogs and cats. There are other services they offer (financial assistance for s/n's, free food for needy cat owners, among others) and FCCR serves the entire northern CO/southern WY area. A great asset to the community, both human and animal.
