Programs: Fort bend family health center, inc. (fbfhc) is a private, not-for-profit community health center. Fbfhc primarily targets the medically needy of fort bend and waller counties, but opens its doors to all who wish to receive care, without regard to income or circumstance. During fye 6/30/14, fbfhc provided 39,014 medical encounters, 5,650 dental encounters, and 544 behavioral health encounters. See schedule o for additional details.
fbfhc provides the women, infants, and children (wic) program for fort bend county through sites in rosenberg and stafford and for wharton county through sites in wharton and el campo. All wic clients are welcome at any fbfhc clinic location for medical services. In october 2012, fbfhc expanded its wic program to austin, colorado, and waller counties, with sites located in bellville, sealy, columbus, eagle lake, weimar, katy, brookshire and prairie view. During the fye 6/30/14, fbfhc served approximately 28,427 individuals through its wic program. See schedule o for additional details.
